Whoever created this beautiful specimen. I thank you 😍😍😍 nothing better than a girl covered in ink, with a good figure, a decent bra size (no one likes the mosquito bites) and an ass!! #girlswithink#happyfriday#beautyatitsbest
Prepare yourself for this caption to be very long and on the more serious side.
Something I've almost never spoken about to anyone other than my closest friends is my long history with self-harm. Although it is a chapter that ended for me years ago, it's the type of thing that stays with you forever, and in a lot of ways it goes hand in hand with my love of tattoos.
Tattooing for me has always been about individuals taking ownership of their bodies, changing their physical form to better represent their mind or spirit. For me, it's about loving my skin and treating it well; my love for art and my love for myself twisted into one thing.
I think for people who have lasting scars from self harm, a tattoo can be a very powerful way to reclaim one's body, to visibly and resolutely move forward.
Tattooing over old scars can be a very sensitive and personal experience, especially when those scars are self-made.
But the reality of tattoos is that they can be expensive. They are a luxury expense, and scar coverups in particular can be time consuming (and therefore costly) projects.
So I'd like to try something out.
I'd like to offer tattoos to people looking to cover self harm scars, free of charge.
In order to take advantage of this opportunity, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject SH COVERUP. I won't be responding to Instagram DMs on this subject, emails only please.
Please include a short description of what you'd like to get tattooed, and where on your body the tattoo will be.
Preference will be given to tattoos in the styles I enjoy working in; please specify whether you'd like blackwork or colour.
Also keep in mind that anyone looking to participate will need to be able to come see me for an in-person consultation before I book their actual appointment.
I will only be able to take a few of these appointments each month, so please be patient. I promise I'll do my best to respond to everyone and hopefully keep doing this for quite some time.
Thanks to @thevillageink for waving all the shop fees and allowing me to do this completely free.
