💥HIP THRUST TIPS💥
Love these tips from the ‘Glute Guy’ himself @bretcontreras1. Although most probably think of the hip thrust as a performance enhancing exercise, it can certainly prove beneficial in the rehab space as well. Whether dealing with strength loss after an injury or surgery or treating painful low back, hip or knee conditions, this exercise may be a good addition to your program.

The forward eye gaze and chin tuck cues are tools to prevent excessive spinal hyperextension.
But, you also need to make sure you’re not hinging so much on the bench. You want a nice flat torso with the ribs down and pelvis posteriorly tilted at the top of the movement.
I really hate these squat racks! 😤 And to make matters even worse, I forgot my squat shoes. 🤦🏾♂️ But the grind had to go on. I just had to make the best of it! 🏋🏾♀️ gotta grow these tiny sticks I stand on! 🤣

Glutes are one of the main muscles for our locomotion, walking manner and how the body stands. -
For instance there are different abnormalities in pelvic and one of those is backwards tilted pelvic that pulls the lamber back and makes it flat. It's when back and butt is on the same line. If you think you have this kinda figure you need to work on: lower back (rectus spinae), glutes and quad muscles. Once they're strengthen the body will get natural figure 👏🏽💪🏽
Damage bone structure has it's own muscle mathematics and it needs careful solutions and correct muscle management 🙌🏽☝🏼

Yesterday was legs and abs day. I had to finish early to rush off and train a client so today I completed a 30 minute resistance band workout just to top it up for my glutes.
This routine will have your buns begging for mercy 😜

👶After being a sole proprietor for a while, I had a great conversation with my accountant (Hi Kate!) and asked if I should incorporate.
🗣A brief chat was had, and voila ! I had a fancy paper saying “Yes, you are allowed to say you’re official!”
😃 These were the official business cards I had made.
🤔So, whats the story?
🕺I originally had called my company “Gold Standard fitness” named after a company’s protein.
💑I was training a husband and wife, around 2010, whom had done some work in marketing. She something along the lines of, “You’re pretty good at this 🙄(personal training) - is gold standard incorporated ?” I told her no, it wasn’t, and told her the story. She asked what I would change it to. I said, funny enough, “Freak Fitness”. If you live in Alberta/Canada, you can appreciate why this is funny.
🤓I liked the alliteration, and at this point I still had a man crush on being a freak. I wanted (and sometimes, I still dream) of being a gigantic bodybuilder one day. She talked me out of it, saying how its not marketable to women, and that I️ would be closing myself off to a lot of business. How funny is that, @freakmaker1 ?!?
👩🏫The 3 of us were sitting in my office, she asked me what I liked - hobbies etc. I said music, video games, fashion. The husband said something along the lines of, and this is loosely paraphrasing, “Have you played Mega Man? Mega Marty is pretty close to that.” ~
😂We laughed. A lot. All 3 of us really enjoyed the video games, so we pictured me in his blue helmet with a gun arm.
💁♀️I said, “Yes! Did you know the first Mega Man game came out the same year I was born?” (this turned out not to be true, it was 1987, I guess I just wanted to be).
😎Mega Marty Nutrition & Fitness was born pretty much right there, on the spot.
😅Swipe left ... I was , in fact, Mega Man for Halloween some years ago ☺️

My workout💪🏽 today consisted of running 🏃🏼♀️for 30 min and working my glutes, arms and abs. I needed a full body workout today because I will be eating good food 🌯and enjoying myself. 💃🏾🥂. Try these moves out 30 sec each get a band and weights if you have them and then repeat!
