I almost skipped the gym today. But I went and, immediately, my body felt recharged and my mind refreshed. It's funny that I forgot, for a minute, the entire reason I workout in the first place. 🤷🏻♀️🤗 #endorphins#antianxiety#consistency
4x5 paused squats for tonight. Worked up to a set with 135, 165, 185, and 205 for 5 reps. I need to work on being more steady in the hole, but other than that I'm content with how these went tonight.
Also did another triple volume set of the following:
3x8 bench press (75, 75, 80)
3x12 standing dumbbell rows (30,35,45)
3x15 double kettle bell swings (one each hand). Last set I did 20 reps just for the hell of it.

Early birthday PR squats for the win! 145 for 2 then for a single. Today, I was really hard on myself. Biggest things I need to work on is staying focused and stop being afraid of the weight. Too many times I doubt myself halfway through my lifts. Or I’ll say “I CANT”. Today Jackie and Sergio both gave me great feedback. They told me to focus to the point of almost blacking out, to stop being scared and to never give myself feedback during my squat. But the best thing @jackierdz01 told me to do was to start treating my training sessions as a “meet” there’s going to be so many people therefore I need to learn how to zone everything out. As you guys could see in the first video I lost focus on my second attempt. I was criticizing my squat in my head as I was going up and then said “oh no no” yet I was already basically done😂🤷🏼♀️. But being the great coach @jackierdz01 is, she gave me a confidence boost then had me retry and boom I did it! I’m honestly so thankful to have her by my side through this journey! June better watch out! Benched in jeans bc I peed myself during deadlifts (as usual). My deadlift essentials are another pair of undies, @summerseve cleansing cloths, and a pair of jeans for work afterwards. #noshame

I was cleared for lifting as long as I felt good. I felt like crap, exhausted and crazy brain fog but I felt like maybe if I worked out, got moving i would feel better. I didn't but I kept it light with lots of rest breaks. Then I slept amazing and woke up clear headed. I've posted this before but every time I see it I feel it more and more deep in my soul.
*finger guns* minimal work, minimal results. Volume is king in both the short and long term. I'm sure all of my athletes can attest to the massive amounts of volume I put them through.
30 lbs and about 5 months difference. Left 2 weeks post show, right is tonight after cookies and deadlifts. Some people may think I "gained too much weight" or "damn she rebounded" and to that I say shut up.
Loving life right now. Lifting stuff I never imagined and enjoying cookies. I love my body and more importantly my mind and my willpower to become better.

If I could deadlift every day that would be greattttt. Pretty sure my hips would break but it would be a fun time at least. Pretty speedy 5x5 but ripped some skin off with my nail and got a little bloody 🙃

Well, all that band-assisted volume has gotten me somewhere... got 2.75 unassisted pullups today, then did a set with a lighter band than the one I’ve been using and got 8, then did my third set with the usual band and got 10 pretty easily.
