#AverageAchiever ...humble enough to know I’m not better than anyone yet wise enough to know I’m different from the rest.🖤 But I didn’t always feel this way. Growing up in a family FULL of overachievers ( Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Oxford , Forbes List, perfect scores, you name it, someone in my family has accomplished it!), the pressure to excel and continuously win can be overwhelming at times. Add to that, a culture that not only expects, but demands only excellence, it’s easy to feel “just average” no matter what you’ve accomplished. I’m proud to say however that through it all, I’ve always held firm to my own dreams and goals, made my own path( even if it wasn’t a conventional one), and maintained my own course (at a pace which was right for me) despite what everyone else was doing. Most people don’t know that my undergrad college degree is actually in Business and Psychology (with a minor in Spanish). I worked for a few years before going BACK to school to pursue medicine. That’s right, I went back to college a second time to complete my premed courses so that I could even be eligible to apply to medical school. It wasn’t easy sitting in a college freshman class when most of my peers already had “real jobs”. But I was determined. And how do you stop a determined woman? YOU CAN’T. 🖤 I always knew from a young age, I wasn’t like everyone else and that I had something special to offer the world. Many of the same people who used to ask me “ What the hell are you doing/ thinking?” are now asking “How the hell did you make that happen?!” Lol #humbleBrag 😜 #TheresAMethodToMyMadness 👽
I say all of this to say, honestly, belief in oneself is the greatest challenge. Once you master that, anything is possible. Stay true to yourself and forget what everyone else is saying or doing. Tune them out. Focus. Tunnel vision. Anything is possible if you just BELIEVE. If they can have it, then I can too. And if I can do it, then you can too.
Average achiever? Ha, not even on my worst day baby.🖤 #IfYouCanDreamItYouCanAchieveIt#NobodyReadsCaptionsButIHadSomethingImportantToSay 😜
With only 2 weeks to go I am starting to feel a tad nervous! 😜 I have seen all the beautiful ladies that will be stepping on stage with me and you all look fantastic! In some way I wish I had more time but I have done more in a few months than what I have in a while! It's always good to have a goal because it really keeps you focused! #2weeksleft#hardworkalwayspaysoff#stayingfocused#achievinggoals#livelovelift
please join me in congratulating my third born @kennedytrent10 on her acceptance letter into the Franklin Regional National Honor Society program❗️Fatty although we may have our differences, I am so very proud of this accomplishment you’ve worked so hard towards. It’s not easy juggling school, work, dance and your 50+naps a week😉 Mommy is very proud of you. Remember the skies the limit when you put your mind to what it is you want in life; keep up the great work📚🤓📝💙💛😘 #beautyandbrains#doublethreat#hardworkalwayspaysoff
Couldn't have been a more successful weekend at 28th Todd Short Memorial Open. @karen__gao got the double crown winning singles and doubles girls 16s. @amanda_letzring got 2nd at Girls 16s and 1st place in doubles partnering with Karen Gao. And @bluespookyglue (Sonya Romanenko) was the champion for Girls 18s. Congrats and thank you for your hard work and success!💪👏👊🏆#adrianwaisfeldtennis#hardworkalwayspaysoff
The Dirt Dogs won all THREE games today. Playing for the Championship tomorrow. The girls really came together today. I could not be more proud. Thank you girls and coaches for your hard work. Parents, you guys are the best! #nsasoftball#dirtdognation#hardworkalwayspaysoff
