Phew! I got it DONE!! 😅
Do you struggle to find THE perfect time to work out too? Like the honest truth is: it really never sounds like the thing I want to do most (bowl of ice cream and a good Netflix binge of FRIENDS or Stranger Things...anyone!?)
The weird thing is when I started exercising 2 1/2 years ago, I DIDN’T STRESS about when to work out. My motto was “Do something even if it’s wrong!” so I just got it done when it got done! Then somewhere along the line someone started scolding me for working out late. “You shouldn’t be staying up that late to work out!” And you know what!? It got in my head and after MONTHS of consistency, I started skipping! I started to feel ashamed if I worked out late so I would hide it. And my streak broke and my accountability failed because I started thinking I was doing it “wrong.” I FORGOT MY MOTTO!
So to all the mamas out there trying to squeeze it all in in the fringe hours of your day - it’s ok. Just do what you can, when you can, and keep going.
You want to know the craziest thing of all!? This person that got in my head... they weren’t exercising at all.
Don’t pay attention to the people in the cheap seats. Get in the arena and give it all you got! 💪💗
This weekend we estimated how many apple buckets it would take to move the dial all the way around the scale then went home and worked it out in sidewalk chalk.
People looked a little bemused as we crouched around their apples and talked excitedly about the scale, but hey. 🙄
All of our ShadowSense colors! Our eyeshadows are aaamazing! They're a creme to powder formula that lasts all day without creasing or smudging, they're super blendable and gorgeous! They're really versatile, too; you can use them for contouring and highlighting, as concealer for dark undereyes and blemishes, as blush, eyebrow color, to cover grays in between your normal hair color and a lot of other things! My favorite colors are Pink Opal Shimmer, Mulberry and Garnet!

Let’s talk about all those extra treats that our kids are probably going to be indulging on starting pretty soon along with tummy troubles and sugar problems.🍬🍭🍫
I really limit the amount of candy and treats my kids consume, but let’s be honest they still eat more than what someone twice their size should over the holidays.🎃🤷🏻♀️
I don’t buy candy(it still sneaks it’s way in) but I do buy oils. Essential oils are my best friend when it comes to sugar problems. Tummy upsets and kids are no fun and they happen more often for my kids during the last couple of months of the year.
Fennel essential oil is one we use for tummy troubles. Depending on the age of the child depends how we use the oil. My older kids take a drop in their water and rub on their stomach. Since it’s already on their hands, they will cup their hands over their mouth and nose and breath in. My younger ones(under 6) use it topically on their tummy and aromatically(hand cupped over their mouth and nose).
Wild Orange oil is a oil we also use for digestion. I always add a citrus oil for tummy issues because of their detox and digestive properties. Wild Orange🍊 smells amazing so most of my kids prefer this citrus oil. Also, using this oil helps those sugar cravings to get in control and that’s definitely a good thing if they are over doing it!
Each of my kids have oils they like more than others for the same issue, so I let them choose what their body prefers. My older ones are much more in tune to what they need and what the oils do which is a nice transition from our early days of using oils.✨
My kids were able to get to know a sweet friend who is actually a cousin they don't see much. Love seeing special moments and new bonds - They had soo much fun!
T: "Mom, my tummy feels so excited when I get to meet new friends!" 😃🙌
♥️When he is older, I want him to know that I gave it everything. I didn’t leave any stone unturned. That his dad and I gave him his best shot in this world. 🙌🏻This is my daily pep talk to myself because parenthood is so damn hard. It’s beautiful and rewarding. But it’s difficult and I don’t think we like to admit that very often.
Anyone ever fall into a season of overwhelm? 👋🏼👋🏼 Or am I the only one? 😳😥 These past few weeks have been just that for me. Drowning in overwhelm. 😨
But isn’t that where the enemy wants us? Absorbed in overwhelm and entirely ineffective. Paralyzed... 🙏🏼👊🏼💥 No thank you! Not having it! God is faithful and keeps His promises. Nothing. NOTHING is bigger than that. His promise of peace is already done. John 14:27 Time to live in that reality again...
Letting some things go. Lots of grace. Taking time to just be goofy with my girls. Laugh with my husband. Reconnect with dear friends. These moments matter. Breathing again. One choice at a time. Did I mention lots of grace?
Now if I just notice it quicker next time. Lol 😂 ❤️
“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,”
Deuteronomy 7:9 ESV
All surgery is a trauma to the body.
No matter how common.
And sadly the radical surgeries women face are far too common.
Considering having a bottle of Helichrysum on hand to mix up with some coconut oil and share with those in your life facing a surgery.
It's the oil for the most intense turmoil and supports emotional recovery as well as physical.
It can be rubbed over the heart and inhaled to address the emotion component and directly around incision sites to support the body's natural regeneration process.
This guy moved into Jaden's room today. We have given him time to adjust to Jaden's new room. Even after being in there day after day, he was still a little uneasy tonight. A couple of drops of Peace & Calming on the blanket over his kennel and he settled down. #puppyschoice#peace &calming

I need recommendations pretty please. I'm looking for story books or compilations of heroes to share with the kids in our morning gathering. I'm looking for something short to add into the morning study that shows real life examples of virtuous people the little ones can look up to. So far we've read about scripture heroes, American revolution heroes, and some of our ancestors. We do our scripture picture book every day, but I would like to spotlight one individual at a time. Any favorites???
Babies and I have been working hard (or...hardly working, cuz when you do what you love 🤷🏻♀️❤️) on caring for and growing all the plants we scooped up a few months back.
I feel like we're doing alright.
This is (one reason) why honesty is so important. Can you recall a situation where you were not open with your feelings and/or beliefs? Did you regret it? What was the result of repressing your feelings?
Personally, I find that when I keep negative feelings to myself it weighs heavily on my subconscious and is released in unexpected and unpleasant ways (for example, ongoing agitation without an obvious trigger). Being open and honest in all of your relationships is so freeing. You will relieve yourself of the pressure to "fake it" or to appear supportive of things you are actually opposed to. And you can solve problems before they start to fester. Just make sure that you speak the truth in a loving, yet firm, manner. ❤️
Next time you feel wronged by someone, or inclined to share your convictions, don't hesitate! Some people will not want to hear it because they feel safe living a lie. But there is also a good chance you will be pleasantly surprised by the reaction that you receive, and the respect you earn with your authenticity. 🙂💕✌️
I think one of the most important things we can nurture in the hearts of our children is empathy. This is one of those things that is “more caught than taught”, but I do believe we can help our kids learn to be empathetic while we ourselves model empathy. How are you teaching your children about empathy?
Homeschooling is not all fun + games. There are moments, actually sometimes full days where the kids get moody and frustrated and I do too. And the solution can be as simple as just putting things away and going outside to let them run free. Here Emilio is throwing his paint brushes and raising his angry little arms. Oh dear... #graceupongrace

This is my BFF Tracy on the left. She was my best friend in high school, she was with me when I first started to drive and she was there by my side as my maid of honor when I married my soulmate 20 years ago last month. Tracy is a single mom of two kids and as busy as she is, every Thursday she volunteers to help me run GENM's Tools for Schools donation program. This was us last Thursday post yoga and pre getting to work, sweaty, glowing and so happy to be together working on GENM. Together we pick a new winning school or program to donate a Time-In Toolkit to each Thursday. Just three more days till my favorite day of the week. Tune in here and on Facebook and we announce our next Time-In ToolKit donation recipient - we have 118 toolkits going out to winning recipients this December already!!! And if you haven't nominated your school or nonprofit to receive a free kit, check out the sign-up form on our website (link in bio). #earlychildhoodeducation#mindfulness#raisingchildren#emotionalintelligence
Fall and winter brings sniffles and respiratory issues. My husband tends to catch the local bugs during the winter and in the past, he would be sick for 3 or 4 days at a time. You know how men are when they are sick. 🙄 Now when he starts to get sick, I apply a couple drops of thieves to his wrists and run the diffuser and he is usually feeling better by the next day. Thieves contains cinnamon, clove, and some other powerful essential oils. It smells like gingerbread cookies. Yum! It makes my house smell wonderful and it supports my family’s immune systems all at the same time! #winterwellness#nautralliving#healthyfamily
Well now ... it felt so good to really sweat and start a new program tonight ... but that was HARD and I had to modify to keep my asthma under control. LOVE me some Shaun T 💗 HATE me some cardio. Never Miss A Monday! Go sweat it all out and then just breathe!!💥
Gratitude is not just for Thanksgiving. Today I am giving thanks for the privilege of homeschooling my kiddos (even when Algebra is required), a little guy who asks a million questions a day, being able to work from home doing something I love, & hot chocolate after dinner. Some days are tough & I am choosing to count my gifts & focus on joy. Join me? What are you thankful for today?
October Photo a day, Day 16: on my desk - not exactly a desk, but I usually take my planning/paperwork out on the deck. It’s my favorite spot and today it actually felt like Fall! #homemakingministries
October 15th was "International Miscarriage and Stillborn Awareness Day". Did you know that? I didn't, because I was never aware. Now it is a part of my story... Our miscarriage wasn't widely known. Except for a few close friends and family members, we were mostly quiet about it. But slowly I've gained the strength to talk about it and share my story with others, in hopes I can help another struggling woman just like me find peace, healing and hope.🙏🏻💕 ----------------------------------- We were planning our move to Taiwan, and felt we needed to add to our little family before we made that giant leap across the world. It was the last month we could have possibly gotten pregnant before we left. I had almost given up hope. But then, the little blue line appeared.
And my heart stopped.
We made plans to meet with our families over Thanksgiving. It was the perfect chance to share our wonderful news and hug and smile and share happiness.
Instead, 3 days before Thanksgiving, I went in for a D&C to remove the baby that had stopped growing and was now posing a medical risk to me.
Again, my heart stopped.
I had played out that weekend a thousand times in my head. The things I would say I was 'Thankful for' as we took turn around the dinner table.... all of that now gone.
Instead, I hid through the pain. I had to reapply my makeup 3 times that morning as I got ready to meet our families. I tried to smile on the outside, but was crumbling on the inside. Taking this family pic that day was almost too much.
Although my list of things I was thankful for that year had changed (drastically), it still hurt. And sometimes still does.
There were no memories of the child, no smells, no favorite items of clothing or favorite foods. It was a little life that came for seconds and touched no one but us.
I have 3 beautiful babies that bless my life every day. And I've also had 3 miscarriages. Each one heartbreaking. 💔
So how do you as a friend or family member come into the situation and not make it more painful?
Here's a short list.... 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
