what state do you live in? i live in Texas if you haven’t read my bio 😝 if you don’t live in the US what country do you live in?
Visited my @cavalia family this weekend and now it's back to work with this guy! Little Spanish walk to start our morning... he is actually a horse I was able to adopt from Cavalia and bow he just gets to show of his cool moves 2 miles from the beach. He lives better than me!
Today is #nationaldayofthehorse so I'm going to talk about my hero!
I chose these pictures because it shows just how amazing he is. Despite being near death (he was just bones under that fur) he didn't hold a grudge, he loves all humans unconditionally. He pushed through and blossomed into the stunning guy he is today. He is so full of life and pure joy it's impossible not to be happy around him.
Not only does he inspire me but he pushes me to be a better person, and a better horseman. Because of him I constantly strive to find more ethical and horse empowering ways to work with him. In return he shows me what it's like to feel truly connected with his wild spirit. It's a feeling beyond words.
I'm beyond grateful for him he is forever my #righthorse
Ps. The rescue gets all credit for getting him back to health.
The weather today is absolutely horrible, all the beautiful fluffy white snow is melting under heavy rain and wind. So I'll share this beautiful picture from the other day instead... Our old guy Snöggur, whom didn't run and play like the crazy chicks in the new field. He just said hi to the girls and then started grazing "Don't bother me" . Says a lot about how shut off he is... But maybe next winter he'll run proud and fierce all by himself! 😍 #nikond7500#nikkor2470#icelandichorse#horsephotography
Aber wisst ihr was?! Heute ist #friday 😍🎉
Welcome to @lovelyrescues!! ...
Here I will be posting about all of my rescue animals, though mainly my dogs and my horses. To start, here is a photo of me and ginger (my 25 year old chestnut quarter horse mare!) I love her to death even though she hates me🤷🏻♀️🙌🏻 I ride her western and English (but, I've ridden western all my life , ginger hates English, and my English sucks, buttttt I hope to improve :)) I've owned her for about 10 years now and we got her from a national park place that used her as traffic control (as she gets older, she becomes less and less bombproof. But it was a nice trait to start out with as a beginner rider). They had rescued her from an abusive situation. She was very head shy until I began working with her. Now she tolerates all my little quirks🤷🏻♀️😋 I hope you enjoy our journey as she ages and I learn :)
