Little Thing: when your off service co-intern takes the time out of her schedule to come down to L&D and surprise you with a coffee (much needed) and piece of cake. Residency is really hard but your precious residency family makes the road so much better 💜🍰☕ @shaebae321
This was shared by a long-time customer, Jennifer Benger Rath. I love seeing posts like this about kids being kids and Gus Gear's central line wrap keeping their line safe! From Jennifer: "Excited to share some videos with you about how your Line Wrap has allowed our whole family to live better. Having a central line often means kids have to sit on the sidelines and not play because of the risk of breaking their central line. It means kids have to wear a backpack all the time when infusing - Austin infuses 20+ hrs a day. It means siblings of the medically ill child are always being told "be careful!" around their brother or sister. It means parents have to be hyper vigilant all the time to make sure the central line doesn't break, instead of just being able to enjoy spending time with their kids. In short, your Line Harness has allowed me to move beyond just focusing on keeping Austin alive, to actually living! Having had multiple line breaks the first 18 months of life, this is a quality of life I never would have dreamed of for all of us! At first glance it just looks like 2 brothers having fun on the play set. But this is a TPN dependent child with a single lumen broviac infusing hydration. He's able to enjoy being on the swing and playing with his brother like any other typical kids would. And he's able to take a break from wearing his hydration backpack all the time and play more easily by just leaving his backpack on the ground to play. I have peace of mind knowing his central line secured with your Line Harness and he's able to just be a typical kid! Celebrating 10 YEARS of using Gus Gear Line Wrap, zero line breaks and zero lost access sites! ❤️ "
Unfortunately, Instagram won't allow me to upload the video, so you can go to our FaceBook page (link in bio) to see the boys in action!
My favorite place in the whole world! I may live in suburbia, but growing my own food is something I'm so so so passionate about. Every year I plant things and watch them grow. I spend every night checking for changes and getting excited about what tomorrow will bring. Plants are so much like us... they change daily. They metamorphosis into a whole new thing every season. I haven't had to buy much produce (besides mushrooms 🍄) and I meal plan around what I have! I may not have the biggest garden in the neighborhood, but it's mine and I'm so proud of it! 💚💚💚🌽🌶🍅🥒🍠🍓 #loveyourselfmore
❤️It has been such a misconception in the past that women would get bulky lifting weights!
Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! 🔥This is a mama of three on our team and what weights have done for her! Truly is the fountain of youth as we get older! Amy looks beyond amazing!!!🔥
NAILED IT!! Welll I think and believe I did, but we will wait and see what the consensus thinks 😜🙌 Building a tribe.

a relic from yesterday's MRI 💉💉 what can i say? i have itty bitty baby veins, which don't take too kindly to IVs. // so, my #LAM team now has a head count of 4 doctors. impressive, no? i had to awkwardly ask my respirologist for an ob-gyn referral, which she was really nice about. she's also the specialist in LAM, so making an appt w/ her about my ovarian cysts wasn't out-of-line, but it's still weird to have a deadly illness and no family doctor. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ anyway, i'm unsure what can actually be done for my cysts, b/c treatments are usually hormonal and i can't have estrogen since LAM thrives on it. trying not to think about that, at the moment, which is easier said than done. // #lymphangioleiomyomatosis#hospitallife#sickwoman#sick#IV#MRI#tattoo#gartertattoo#bwtattoo#chronicpain#illness#rareillness#sickasheck#theworst#neworgansplease
