Mulai lari yang agak bener setelah semingguan ini dilanda batuk dan flu. Lumayan berat rasanya, bawaannya pingin berhenti terus. Cukup kayaknya 4k utk pagi ini. Mudah mudahan beberapa hari ke depan ada progress yang menyenangkan. Tetap Alhamdulillah.

That was a whole lot of no fun. My schedule got really mixed up today with school and bank stuff, but I was determined to do my "long run" I planned to do 9. Nothing in life goes as planned and I went way over that. I started from my house, which was weird already. I didn't eat anything all day. I ran through my neighborhood, to the next, and then to a park where rails to trails is. I forgot how long it took me to get there... about 2 miles. I ended my "run" way far away from home and I do not want to do a 2 mile cool down when it's freezing and dark outside. I am not doing that again it hurt more to walk than jog. I've never been so glad to see my house in my life.
Great day today. Started with a meeting this morning with some guys down at the church to pray, followed by a really productive day at work.
After work I went on my third run along the Eno River in Durham. Came up close to a stag. We stared each other out for a while before I moved on by.
Always happy to come home to see Lizzie ready for her run. Love my family.

Sometimes simple dinners are the best dinners! One of my favorite things about fall is that, if I happen to miss a morning run workout (which is very rare), 🤦🏼♀️😏 it's not too hot or too dark to make up a few miles along the Parkway after work. Physically, evening running is a major struggle for me, so I avoid any hard workouts (it's just the last thing my body wants to do at the end of the day), but mentally...it's so good for the soul. 👌🏼🏃🏼♀️🍃🍂#thiswasmyhappyhour#beforetacotuesday 🌮😜
Side note: I've been running these horse trails that are parallel to the bike path for years, and today was the first time I actually had to yield to horses! 😲 And they were really moving! 🏇🏻🏇🏾🏇🏾💨
Much needed rest day yesterday from the Rock n Roll Denver 10K yesterday but today it's back to work! I've got the Madison Half Marathon in less than four weeks and I'm focused and determined to run a good time. I had a nice and easy 4.5 mile run this morning and an awesome Barre class with @nicoleleicht this evening. Happy Tuesday!
Dark, cold, windy, and rainy = perfect conditions for the @lululemonyyc Ghost Race with @yycruncrew 👻🏃🏼♀️It’s a “secret” 8km race happening on #Strava and if you’re a #yyc runner, I definitely recommend checking it out! Beautiful route, even on such a miserable night!

Finalmente o grande dia tinha chegado. A ansiedade e o medo tomavam conta de mim antes da largada, tinha chegado a hora, será que ia dar?? Dada a largada.. segui alguns km muito bem acompanhada da experiência @npigozzo num começo de prova lindo e divertido. Depois de um tempo a confiança veio vindo e fui me soltando para encarar o desafio sozinha. Cada km que passava vinham flashes na minha cabeça, de toda dedicação e esforço que eu tinha colocado, da energia deliciosa das pessoas que estavam torcendo para ser tudo incrível.. os km foram passando. E aí começam grandes marcos.
km 20.. meu corpo tava tranquilo, cabeça zero, só a alegria de saber que metade tinha ido, fiz amigos, contei que era meu aniversário, fui ganhando parabéns de estranhos. Km 24.. começo a sentir bolhas no dedo e uma leve dor no joelho. Mas o que que isso??? Tá longe ainda.. nada de dor!!! Em 6km o Grippa entra e tudo vai dar certo. Km 29... a alegria de saber que ia encontrar ele, meu maior incentivador e torcedor, de repente vejo o meu melhor sorriso, com os olhos cheios de lágrimas gritando “vc tá bem pra caralho!! Tenho mto orgulho!! Vamo que essa prova é sua!!!”.. km 32.. faltam só 10!! Pera aí... 10km ainda é uma hora.. meu Deus!!! Será que vai?? Km 34.. e agora?? A partir daqui não sei o que acontece, nunca fiz mais que isso! Km 36.. dizem que a dor vem a partir de agora, mas estou bem.. não quebrei nem sinto dores!!! Km 38.. continuo bem, não vou ter nada, essa prova sim é minha, pqp!! Sou fodaaaa!!! Km 39... sai da frente Pacer fdp!!! Quero fechar abaixo de 6:12, vai dar!!! Km 42... time DPN gritando, linha de chegada gigante, é real!!! Estou chegando, unbroken.. grippa gritando “você é foda cabeça!!!!! Essa merda é sua!! Acabou!!!!” Km 42,69.. 4:11... SOU MARATONISTA!!!!! Lágrimas caíram, faltou ar, sorriso que não cabia no rosto... que sensação! Consegui! Todo esforço valeu a pena!!! Minha tão sonhada medalha veio.. melhor presente de aniversário que eu podia ter!!!! Continua nos comentários..
Back to normal programming. Races and vacation behind me. A few cheat meals thoroughly enjoyed, but need to get back to what gives me the best fuel physically and mentally. Cleaned and cut, ready to go for smoothies, salads and add on to other meals. Fantastic snack as well. Had a nice seven mile run Sunday, weight training yesterday and an easy five mile run today. Looking for a few destination races next year. Love those colors. Eat well live well #igrunners *

i used to have a hate/hate/ reaction until i surrender myself to their grandiosity, to the trill, the deep pain, the breathless feeling that goes throughout your heart every single time, with every repeat, on every turn, never easy, always worthy
In total surrender to what has to be done to growth, to be better, to reach the dream and conquer yourself.... to never settle for less of what you deserve ... Exactly as falling in love or living it behind.... YOU deserve better !
