'I will what I want'. The first time I saw this saying was in an Under Armor ad featuring Misty Copeland (girl crush!!!), and it immediately struck a chord with me because of it's impact and simplicity.
We are the creators of our worlds. We determine how we act, move, love and live. But sometimes we forget this simple fact and hand over our power to other forces.
Today, I want to remind you that you hold the power to your own life. Want to be fit? Start exercising. Want to love your body more? Start nourishing it. Want to be more energetic? Live with passion.
Came home from work to find my newest PD had arrived! I LOVE being able to work on myself physically and mentally! It's important to look at yourself holistically! You can be physically fit and mentally be a chaotic mess. Take care of your mind and you body will follow! Looking forward to starting this book with my book club soon!

Just one set of an exercise is sometimes all I feel I have the time or energy for within the demands of parenthood, work, and life. But is that enough? Some days I believe it is because often the hardest part is just getting started, and many times it's easy to think there's just not enough time or energy to squeeze in a workout. If I only plan for one set, it doesn't feel overwhelming, yet what often happens is once I start, the endorphins kick in and suddenly it doesn't seem so hard to keep going.
If you only get through one set today, be proud of that one set, and plan to do more the next workout, even if it's just 1 more than before, that's progress.

Some days or weeks that journey can feel like it’s beginning all over again, but that’s okay as long as we keep pushing ahead to make progress. So take that one single step with me today, or in this case, that one single set! 😉💞

Picked up the bike earlier this year to break the monotony of my workouts because I've been running & running & running (apart from gym). I just love the feeling of being on a bike, as well as being inside a racecar! Not only does it quell my "need for speed" lol but it's also a good power workout for the legs. Nope, I can't see my abs everyday. Especially not after a weekend of vacation and being somewhat bloated thanks to Mother Nature.
But each day I show up for myself.
I inspire and encourage others to do the same.
And we get to the root of our struggles, and make plans to get through them.
I share what's working for me, and what I'm struggling with.
I believe in myself and my challengers.
And I know that I get to be a tiny part of making their lives better. ❤️

Estos días mi práctica se ha sentido pesada. Las piernas y el corazón apretados. Mis brazos se cansan rápido. Y movimientos que mi cuerpo realizaba orgánicamente se sienten ajenos y diferentes.
Cada vez que desenrollo mi mat me recuerdo que la compasión empieza por nosotros mismos y que todo es parte del viaje.

This days my practice has felt heavy. My legs and heart feel tight. My arms get tired more quickly. And movements that my body used to do organically now feel alien and different.
Each time I unroll my mat I remind myself that compassion begins with us and that it's all part of the journey.
This too shall pass 🙏🏽✨

@mariannewellsyogaschool talked alot through out our practice about how it is our choice to hold on and let go.
This really spoke to my heart today because on this trip there are so many things I want to hold on to, and so many that I need to let go. 💞 I'm holding onto the feeling of the Dominican sun on my freckles and the ocean breeze in my hair. 💞 I'm letting go of the expectation of a week long retreat.
And with this i remind myself of both as we start to make our journey back home. •

A few months ago one of my videos was licensed for this beautiful Johnson&Johnson video. I was honored to see my content shared alongside such inspiring mothers, and the message of this video inspires me today. These last two weeks I have strived to understand what it is I am to learn from losing my @bwmcfitness @instagram account and being left with no answers as to why or what can be done. Although this experience has pushed my limits, I am finding STRENGTH, SUPPORT, and LOVE from this wonderful community that INSPIRES me to remember why I started this journey and to keep going! 💗
Be grateful for both the highs and lows, for they all have something to teach us.
Learn from the setbacks and let them ignite the fire within you to keep pushing forward.
Believe in your ability to create and shape the future each and every day.
Know that strength is developed from hard lessons.
