So I guess this means I’m on “BBG 5.0”😂 Never thought I’d stick to it this long. I’m type A and need a routine and plan, and BBG gave me that rigid yet varied & healthy schedule to follow, without the monotony of doing the same thing everyday 🙌🏽 @kayla_itsines
“There is nothing wrong with how I look on the left” I totally agree! But inside, there are problems. I was still over-excising, and obsessing over food intake, following arbitrary self-imposed “time” rules which led to some crazy binging habits. I still fight disordered thoughts, but I’ve made STRIDES and eat more than I have in a long time.
Remember that finding your balance is NOT A DISORDER. I said it in my last post, but you do NOT need to eat a donut a day to be “normal” like your friends. I feel gross after I eat a donut! That’s ALSO OKAY. You can order a salad if it sounds refreshing. Or get the pizza if that sounds good! Or one this time and the other next time!
Balance, variety, and confidence. DO YOU and don’t let anyone make you feel badly about that💪🏽
All organized and ready for the @runcrs scotiabank Toronto Waterfront half marathon. I may not have got in the training that I would have liked to but I did what I could and I do feel confident that I will do well tomorrow. I may not PR but I’m okay with that. I’m just out there to do my best and finish. I can’t wait to be out there on the course with @metropolis.jc.fit @yongeandfitness and @christnehalbert for the half marathon. @valeskamengert is running her first full marathon tomorrow, which is amazing!! I planned on getting this week18 ab workout done way before Sunday but life gets in the way sometimes and I’m glad I didn’t write it off and just got it done and don’t I feel good 👍focusing on that feeling is the only thing that gets me through sometimes.....hello week 19, I’m coming for you💪
I am really sweaty 💦 and that was a great workout. I started it with reluctance but ended up really enjoying it. Only 1 LISS and a recovery session to finish week 41 and earn my badge. Just gotta get them both done today😬I can do it!! 🤗💪🏼
Day 22 (of my #30happydays ): today was not a particularly happy day for me as I left my family in Martinique to go back home (with a layover in Miami hence the gym) but I tweaked my thoughts and I am so happy I got to spend 7 days with them ! I hadn't seen them in a year and my aunt is still fighting leucemia like a warrior so today is a cheer to my family who I love above and beyond 😍😍
That's week 36 legs that I couldn't do last week ! I'll move on to week 37 next week. That's two weeks from my kaylaversary

March: Zach was newly deployed and I was THROWING myself into all things health/fitness to stay occupied. And it was showing 💪
August: Visiting home, travelling to New Orleans, lots of indulgences, not staying consistent on nutrition. And it was showing 😖
October: Readjusting to life with my hubby. Back to a routine with workouts and nutrition. Not obsessed. Back to balance. Feeling gooooood ✌

Week 44 done ✅. Finished the week with some hiit and a recovery session with the foam roller. Foam rolling has been a lifesaver for me, especially after leg day. It helps with soreness and lengthens your muscles. It's like a massage 🙌🏼. If you all aren't foam rolling on a regular basis, I definitely recommend! 👍🏼 Time to enjoy my night, it's date night tonight and rest day tomorrow! Hope you all have a great Saturday night!
This yumminess happened today 😍 Has anyone ever had rolled ice cream ?! When I found out they had a vegan option, I may have screamed a little 🤷🏼♀️ I got the nada moo vegan ‘so cal’ made with bananas + acai + honey and topped with strawberries and coconut!! The world needs more rolled ice cream, just sayin 😉

Made a big Greek salad for dinner tonight (feat. Finny Finn)! 🥗 My eating these last two weeks have been so shitty (thanks stress and PMS), but I’m getting it back on track this week. I’ve set a really big goal for myself for the end of 2018, and I might share later on! I’ve watched my weight fluctuate for too long, and I’m just sick of my inconsistent lifestyle. It’s really difficult during the school year, but I’m doing my best to get a set schedule on track, even though it’s already halfway through my semester. 🙄 I’m sick of feeling this way, and the only way to fix that is to make a change! I’m hoping to really focus more posts on this page, in hopes that it will spur my motivation and boost my confidence, which has really been lacking lately. Long story short, it’s time for a change! I can’t wait to see what I can accomplish before the end of the year.
Amazing birthday dinner 🎉 for my husband with my Aunt & Grandma! I had sushi for an app 🍣 + this salmon entree served with risotto, brussel sprouts/green beans & beets + macaroons for dessert! So incredibly stuffed! 🐷
