THANK YOU... 2 little words that take zero energy to say but every ounce of energy to 1) notice someone's kindness, 2) to be grateful and then 3) say thank you.
No one owes you a thing. That stranger who held the door didn't have to... SAY thank you. Your friend who listened to (or read) your rant... didn't have to be a good friend... SAY thank you. Someone helped you out... it's easy to remember the big helps but we often overlook the small ones... SAY thank you.
It's human nature to thank someone when we feel indebted to them. Yet there are countless instances throughout the day to take notice, feel gratitude and SAY
"Thank you for ______."
I appreciate you because ______."
"I'm grateful for ______."
Don't keep your gratitude and appreciation inside. The upside to expressing thanks is huge, does wonders for the recipient's psyche and gives our heart and mind a boost too.
On the other hand, the impact of never expressing thanks is great and damages relationships. It might not seem like a big deal to you but leads to others' resentment of you and feeling taken for granted.
Don't take anything or anyone for granted. They don't owe you their kindness but you do owe them our thanks.
Who could you have thanked today but forgot in the moment, as many of us do?
The day's not over. Stop. Notice. Feel grateful. Express it. It doesn't have to be written by a plane in the sky... a simple text works remarkably well and takes no time at all. You'll feel good and they'll feel even better. .
Thank you for reading my rant. I appreciate you! 😘🌷🙏🏻🎈
Couldn't agree with you more. I started telling someone close to me that has been struggling these simple words: "Be good to yourself and do good for others." and what this says makes me feel like I'm not alone in this line of thinking.
If you can help someone, do it. You don't know how much your words could affect them. I think we can all change the world if we think this way. It's a hope for the future.
Our girl Noel was at the studio filming her segment on @homeandfamilytv Family show. Isn't she so beautiful???!!! She wowed everyone with her kindness and gentle spirit. She loved everyone and the feeling was mutual.
Make sure you watch her on the @hallmarkchannel tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. We are crossing our fingers hoping that special someone sees her and wants to foster or adopt her. She won a lot of hearts today. She already has ours! She is hoping her secret love @AdamLevine sees her🤗

#KINDNESS leads to repentance Love lights the path Home.
We know true #LOVE is this to lay your life down for your friends like Jesus did for us. You have to be like the four friends who carried their crippled friend to #JESUS because he couldn't do it him self we must help others carry their cross. #feedthesheep

Well, a very special person placed an order for 40 boxes of Tidbits of Love to give out to the devoted folks who teach and mentor at the Merced County of Education, After School Program. Tidbit boxes will be used as in the center pieces at each table at their Summer Event!
You know when I first snapped this photo I immediately wanted to share it but was too scared to – fearing the possibility of backlash or people thinking differently of me but it really got me thinking about all the times in their earlier school years when my kiddos exited the school bus walking into our home perplexed and sometimes with tears in their eyes looking into mine asking “Mom, why do people call us Mexicans and tell us to go back to where we belong?” and how in those moments I was taken back to the many times throughout my childhood, throughout life really, I had been called out by the brown of my skin and characteristics of my hair…Black, Indian, Mexican, Spaniard even the ‘N’ word on occasion despite being classified White...Caucasian...perks of being blessed with an olive skin tone, I suppose.
They just didn't understand especially given we are not from Mexico or of the nationality. I’m not sure if my explanation of a response supplied any relief or helped them in those moments any more than the wiping away of their tears and the Mom hug that always followed but when it comes down to it…I mean really comes down to it…we are all just humans.
We are more than the color of our skin or the age of our bodies. We are all humans traveling different paths yet made up of two arms, two legs, two ears, two eyes, ten fingers, ten toes, one nose…one brain from which to choose our actions, one beating heart from which love unconditionally radiates at birth and one mouth from which kindness can always be spoken.
I can only hope that moments such as those made my kids kinder towards others and even a bit more resilient when faced with adversity...
Hello, friends! Moving update: we're out of our old house and into our new one soon, so hopefully we shouldn't be missing too many reviews in the near future. For today, we're back! And we're reviewing a new favorite: Pandora by Victoria Turnbull, a gorgeously illustrated fairytale about the power of kindness and friendship.
Pandora lives all alone in a land of broken things. She uses her cleverness and ingenuity to build a cozy home and fix lost treasures, but she is still lonely. One day, a small bluebird injures itself nearby, and Pandora takes the little bird in. Pandora does her best to mend the broken bird as she does her treasures, giving it lots of love and gentleness to recuperate. In that time, the two grow close, and when the bird is healthy enough to fly away, it always returns with treasures from far-off lands, fixing them into a nest as a gift for Pandora. One day, the bird doesn't return, and Pandora is broken-hearted. Having lost her only friend, she retreats to her bed and despairs. But when she wakes one sunny morning, she finds that once the seeds of friendship are planted and nourished, they will grow - and that it may take a while, but true friends always find their way back home.
This is a stunning story that uses lovely, soothing art and simple text to cover some surprisingly advanced ideas. It's a beautiful fable for young ones, but older readers will recognize subtle themes like depression, hope, and healing within the story's message of friendship and kindness being returned to those who give it. It's surprisingly powerful, especially with art that conveys these emotions as much as it does the story being told. The length is perfect, and JJ always enjoys her "foxsh and bird." A moving tale for all ages, and it's Baby Bookworm approved!

Suicide rates seem to be outta control, hearing about it way too often in the media. My heart is broken for them all. Depression is a very sad battle a lot of people face and sometimes lose... you really have no idea what people are going through, so always be kind and show love ...... #kindness
The cool thing about going back to the #druze village so many times is I get to help new #arabic students explore. These particular students were a mix of both seniors in high school and college! So our conversations saw a lot of breadth and depth and we challenged each other constantly while sympathizing with each person's different place in life. At our farewell dinner, there were different things said about each person but one thing remained the same-- #kindness and #understanding make you an outstanding person no matter who/what/where you are. #studyabroad#fieldwork
"Usually our minds are like rest less water. We need to get this rest less water to rest, but we can't force it to rest. All we need to do is to get out of The way and allow The water to calm Down its own. This means That not doing anything is The Best method. When You dont do , everything relaxes and water becomes calm. Just rest in silence.
Even if You feel a lot of emotions and thoughts Start to arise, trust That The mind itself has capability to rest and become calm and silent. Just leave all The thoughts alone, and dont do anything. Dont try to change The Mind in a positive or negative direction. You'll find That when You just leave things alone, suddenly, half of problems are gone. This is because You have managed to not make them bigger, and often They Will resolve on their own . This might sounds too good to be true, but try it and see for yourself wheter it functions or not"
