Many people look at athletes like we've got "that thing"... Truth be told there's nothing particularly special about our bodies!!! We all have the exact same muscle groups- when left malnourished and unstimulated they will atrophy resulting in a "softer" exterior. The only difference is our investment- which is so frequently underestimated. So many are convinced of what they can't achieve when they have yet to scratch the surface of consistency. Can I keep it real?! You cannot expect results to go from 0-100 bc you're drinking a protein shake and did a 30 day squat challenge. If you want sustainable results, KEEP SHOWING UP and doing the work!!! It's a disservice to yourself when you're a product of anything other than the effort of your hands!!! It's the years of struggle, learning, and remaining consistent that grooms us for genuine transformation!!! You know this is the most I've ever been able to see my obliques. Seeing this keeps me motivated, the change in how my busy looks. The sacrifices are worth it, even though sometimes I just don't have the motivation to go to the gym. I go to work, and still go to the gym and sometimes even do my other hobby (pinstriping) as well. I make time and get my workout in, because they're NO DAYS OFF. When you aren't working, someone is and now you're that far behind. Get up and get going. I've got about 9wks before my first ever show and I have to keep pushing. Don't really have a coach, so it's all me, research, practice, trial and error. Looking for a complimentary exercise for your deadlifts? Barbell hip thrusts are 💵. Bend legs about 90 degrees and place barbell at the fold of your hip. Biggest thing here is keep your chin tucked and core tight, drive with glutes to avoid hyperextension of the lumbar spine. Laps this morning running from waun wen up mayhill and back down and repeat. Managed 8 Laps, 8.6Km and total climbing of 1293 feet in 1hour 5mins 54 secs. The biggest straight line on the map is the pictured photo of the hill, hardest part of the laps, uphill running for me replicates Walking lunges but at a faster pace.
