ONE MOMENT. It's all I need. When I'm extremely tired, exhausted, my brain is mush and I've still got to push on with the day, a moment comes along to give me that extra drive. Whether it be a positive remark from a client on how I've impacted their life, or positive feedback from a HIIT class, or even just a smile back when walking around the gym, it all makes a difference. I pick up my game and press on. I may be doing the longest hours, using both my mental and physical capacity to its extreme to a point I've never done so before, but I love what I do and I focus on the parts that make me get up at 4:30am every day, the positive. #personaltraining#personaltrainer#fitnessfirstau#fitnessfirst#positivity#workout#bootyfordays#booty#happy#ljactive#lornajane#legworkout
Let’s talk about water intake. Something so simple, yet so under done! You wouldn’t believe how many people pop a panadol or pill thinking they have something wrong, when most likely it’s due to 1% dehydration! I have gone over this with my nutritionist. 1-2% of body water weight lost (which isn’t much) causes thirst, fatigue, weakness, vague discomfort and loss of appetite. 3-4% causes impaired physical performance, dry mouth, reduction in urine, flushed skin and impatience. So how much water 💦 should you be drinking? It’s all dependent on weight, height and physical performance. For me as a 65kg women, about 2.15L is good. I round up to 3L because I’m active. I have put a calculator in our bio for you to work out your water intake! Something simple to change in your day to day that could be life changing! Who wants to feel inpatient when work is already full on 🤷♀️ #balance#lawyerlife#worklife#nutrition#healthandwellness
In today’s world we are constantly bombarded with tech, family, work and life commitments, and are very rarely afforded the time to really relax. Unfortunately our “chill time” is so often spent in front of a screen, whether it be an iPhone, a TV or the most pertinent suspect: Netflix.
These activities actually stimulate nerve centres of the brain that prevent the brain from releasing dopamine, the feel good chemical, and melatonin, the rest and restore chemical, and as a result we are left more tired and wired and stressed out than ever before.
So how do we chill without the Netflix?
Well we have devised a list of our Top 5 Ways To Calm The Nervous System so that you can truly restore your mind, your body and your energy... Head to our blog to read more!
