Bangda time 🐟 I marinated the whole mackerel with seasalt and put little bit of flour on surfaces, so skin is crispy and crunch when I panfry. I am a seafood lover and I believe this is one of the best ways to enjoy the original flavour of a fresh fish. Panfried or grilled mackerel is a very common 반찬(banchan/side dish) in Korean meals. I often found Korean mackerels are too big to cook as a whole, so I ask vendors to clean, take filets and cut them in two or three pieces. Sometimes I panfry it without seasalt and put some pan-toasted gochujang sauce on the top. You could grill it plain and have it with soy sauce and wasabi as well. Mackerel is known to be packed with Omega-3 and high amount of proteins. It will help you preventing heart disease, lowering the risk of diabetes, controlling blood pressure levels, reducing symtoms of rheumatoid arthritis, and improving cognitive function. Mackerels are priced so reasonably in the Indian fish market.
