PIKACHU TEMPLE — Bangkok’s Wat Pariwat is not you average, run-of-the-mill temple. Swipe left to find out why, and check the link in bio for a full rundown off all the weird ‘n wonderful creatures we’ve found in the mosaic 👀
Can we just talk about this beautiful light hitting this beautiful lady? Lisa was perfect during her senior session and she probably left dizzy because I made her twirl roughly 100 times.
Lisa wants to major in painting at MassArt, which makes me so happy! She goes to the high school I went to and I'm also happy to report that my favorite art teacher is still there :) Apparently there is a new art teacher there as well that went to the same teeny tiny art college I went to! Small world...
I used to tell people C and I were homeless. Not homeless in the sense that we were forced to live on the streets, but that we didn't have our own place to call home. The world is our home. ⠀
When we first met we lived in an apartment, then a tiny studio, then a camper van throughout all of New Zealand, then most recently with C's gram in her bungalow in the suburbs of Detroit. ⠀
Last night, with the fire going, snuggling under a blanket with a glass of champagne sitting on OUR couch, in OUR living room, we clinked to OUR new home. We did it, friends. We're home! ⠀
Truthfully, home can be anywhere and it can change. Frequently. I believe home is a feeling. But this place right now gives me all the feels. ⠀
Take time to appreciate where you are and what you have. But also take time to look where you came from. Those are the things that built you. Be thankful for all of it.
"We cultivate love when we allow our most vulnerable and powerful selves to be deeply seen and known, and when we honor the spiritual connection that grows from that offering with trust, respect, kindness and affection.
Love is not something we give or get; it is something that we nurture and grow, a connection that can only be cultivated between two people when it exists within each one of them – we can only love others as much as we love ourselves.
Shame, blame, disrespect, betrayal, and the withholding of affection damage the roots from which love grows. Love can only survive these injuries if they are acknowledged, healed and rare." ~Brené Brown
I thought I had this thing all figured out. I thought I was vulnerable, but all of the experiences that I've had in the past cause me to withdrawal or hold back and only put up a facade of vulnerability. I'm working on that. I want to fully let people in. If people know my truths and all of the messy parts, will they still love me? I don't want the messy parts to turn into my story. It's such a struggle. I want to let people in and give love without question of whether I will get hurt or not. I am working on me. Cheers to vulnerability and tearing down walls. I'm under construction.

Oxford is magical in Autumn and I loved spending a few days there, catching up with friends, meeting up with professors, and feeling the comfort of my old habits. I feel so grateful to call this place home 💛🍂
We finally managed to take some autumn photos of Sirius. 🍁🍂 He has been well the last couple days, but we still can‘t go for long walks with him. Nevertheless he is lively and cheerful and we are happy about that every day 🍀
Ahhhhh @liaeverette found this pocket of green on the beach at First Landing State Park. We would never have thought to creep in there and take a photo, but that’s the benefits of hiring a seasoned, creative photographer! Plus, her darker editing makes Matt + Karyn’s photo look so much more like film 😍
