"Why is she so happy, they ask... Because I am finally free, I am finally me. After many hardships, many traumas, and many scars, the healing path brought me to me. Not one who is hiding behind barriers of years of pain and disappointments. But one who got up every time she fell down, who took so much care of her wounds that they disappear, who understood that they existed to make her transcend and rise to her higher self, who is now truly and intuitively connected to her inner self, her inner Goddess, who focused so much on her happiness and self-love that she attracted her King, her mirror, and brought through her womb the greatest thing that can ever be created from love. Motherhood is also the best thing that ever happened to me."

How many of you guys have STRICT immigrant parents that expect NOTHING but the best of you and compare you to so-and-so's very successful child? 👏Well, Cynthia is that very successful child.
On Saturday, a close family friend got married. No previous marriages, no baby daddies, just a couple years of preparing traditional meals, getting good grades, and of course, medical school. And on top of that, her husband is Nigerian, just like herself. 👏👏I think it's important to applaud people for their work ethic and grit. As human beings, we should applaud people for surpassing hurdles many get caught in. 🗯️But comparison is a dangerous and deadly activity.
Different strokes for different folks can't be any closer to the truth. 🗝️Don't think you HAVE to be like Cynthia in order to make your parents happy.
🗝️Don't think you have to succumb to what society wants you to be. 👏Cynthia went to school and got married because she WANTED to, and it just so happens that her wants and goals aligned with her parents'. 👏However, if you have goals that greatly differ from Cynthia's, there are still some things you should keep in common.
>Faith 🗝️It's okay to congratulate people for accomplishing their goals. It's also okay for you to have your own definition of success.
Fight for what you believe in. 💯
