I WAS A COMPLETE MESS IN THE GYM YESTERDAY and that’s okay!  I had no motivation to go or get out of my sweatpants so i made a deal with myself and just worked out in whatever i was wearing AND IT WAS FANTASTIC.

The day was a bust because i wasnt in a good headspace for most of it - worrying about school, almost car accident, making sure i saw family. I needed some alone time and so i went to the gym and the hour made all the difference in my mood.  I’m still terrified of exams and driving sounds absolutely horrifying and i want go nap for the next month BUT NOW I KNOW I CAN DO MORE.

Today is Thanksgiving so i wanted to remind ALL OF YOU to HAVE FUN and enjoy your time with family and friends with little stress. 近年大学のゼミの後輩からOB訪問の依頼を受けることが多くなった。東京出身で現在愛知県に勤務する小生にとってはとても名誉な話。直接会えない時はメールや電話でやりとりをするようにしている。少しでも自分の勤める業界、会社に興味を持ってもらえれば光栄だからだ。何より自分が先輩に沢山助けてもらった以上、後輩の役にも立ちたいと思っている。

基本的に、みんなとても礼儀正しいのだが少しばかり残念なことがある。それは就職活動が終わったら、結果を連絡しない学生がいることだ。もし、小生の勤める会社に縁がなかった場合、連絡する気が失せるのも理解できる。けれども、やはりマナーとして就職活動の報告はしてほしい。自分の時はOB訪問を20人近くに行い、全員に報告のメールを送った。全てのOBから暖かい返事がもらえたのを覚えている。

自分が思っている以上に先輩たちは学生の事を気にかけているものだということに気づいてくれるといい。

Recently I receive requests from many juniors of the university's seminar  for OB visits. It is a very honorable  for me because I’m from Tokyo and currently works in Aichi Prefecture. When I can not meet directly, I try to exchange by email or phone. It is an honor to be interested in the industry and company where I work at all. More than anything more than I had my senior helped a lot, I would like to stand for the role for juniors.

Basically, everyone is very polite but there is somewhat disappointing thing. It is that there are students who do not inform the result once job hunting is over. If my company does not give good result to them, I can understand that juniors feel like losing contact. However, I want you to report job hunting results as a manner. When I was having OB visits to nearly 20 people, I sent a report email to everyone. I remember getting a warm reply from every OB.

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving! In the workout room at 7am this morning to rev up that metabolism! Thought about signing up for a 5k turkey trot then decided I'd rather save my money and run on the warm treadmill, so I did. Couch25k featured a full 5k plus I did my own warmup and incline walking and sprints, so I think I ended at around 4 miles. Not bad! My 6 year old has been sick since yesterday with a fever and sore tummy, up and down most of the night, so I'm hoping she feels better before we had out to see family. Now I'm off to bake brownies and pumpkin squares. Gobble til you wobble! We've earned our bird! 🦃

Artigo publicado no JSCR (Journal of Strenght and Conditioning Research) comparou, entre outras coisas, os ganhos de força em indivíduos que realizaram apenas agachamento com os que realizaram agachamento mais outros exercícios para quadríceps!
Os grupos que variaram os exercícios (eram 5 grupos no total), tiveram ganhos significantemente maiores comparados aos que não variaram!
Periodizar o treino é sempre importante (acreditamos muito nisso, apesar de estar surgindo uma corrente defendendo não periodizar), e a variação dos padrões mecânicos dos movimentos também deve ser levada em consideração na hora de montar a programação do aluno/atleta!

Se você é como eu (ops!) e não curte muito fazer aeróbio, adotar treinos em circuito pode ser uma ótima opção. 
Em alguns tipos de circuito, o consumo de oxigênio, gasto calórico, epoc, e outras variáveis, serão muito próximos do cárdio intervalado "convencional" , além do fato de ser possível envolver mais grupos musculares!
Lógico que dependendo do seu objetivo pessoal, talvez esse tipo de treino não seja o mais indicado! 
Mas não custa nada incluir em um (ou mais) dias da rotina!!!
