We all have formed different mindsets towards food over our span on this beautiful place we call Earth. Unfortunately so many of us allow our whole lives to be controlled by this mindset towards food. Some of us eat so much because of stress and emotions that they are too anxious to come to a gym or go for a walk to enhance our lives. Too scared. Some of us exclude ourselves from spending time with loved ones because of where or what they might be eating.I know that you're probably nodding your head along with some of this. •••
My goal here is to let you know that food is something that will always be there. It's plentiful, it's colourful, it's exciting and it's pleasurable. However, we should try to not let those adjectives take away from our ability to embrace life. Life too is colourful, plentiful and pleasurable and to allow food to negatively dictate your outlook on life and ability to do the things you truly want to is such a sad path to get stuck in.

The secret ingredient it seems, is always love.
This is a picture of a flower that my mom planted in our front yard in Connecticut. Growing up, I used to take these small acts of love for granted. I was often too busy to stop and notice the tiny wonders that surrounded me. Today, I choose to live my life mindfully and love noticing tiny wonders wherever I go. Being back on the East Coast this week, however, I feel overwhelmed with things to do and people to see. I have found myself almost relapsing into a state of being "busy." Yet, I truly feel that being "busy" is a negative mindset. I choose instead to view my life as "full." I am so grateful for the rich, full life that I have today - but I make an active effort to flow through that fullness mindfully; taking the time to stop and notice the love and beauty around me.
... wherever you are today, I invite you to take a moment out of your "busy" day to shift your mindset. Take this opportunity to view your life not as busy, but rather as "full." Pause, and notice something beautiful... an act of love around you.
Breathe in gratitude for whatever that may be.
Maybe it is someone who always brightens your day.
Maybe it is one tiny little thing that makes you smile.
Maybe it is something kind you did for yourself or another.
Always remember that love goes wherever you send it.

Back in 2015 (shortly after having my child in the Summer 2014) i was super lean, cut, "in shape", but i WAS NOT in shape-- i was #sickaf In fact, i was dying inside. My husband had left me a year before then (at the end of my pregnancy), i was unemployed, literally disabled due to several conditions, i was not done with my licensing hours (residency) to become a licensed therapist which meant the only way i knew to make money was put on hold, i was heartbroken, and had #postpartumdepression#anxiety and #chronicpain . I was surviving, fighting for my life every single day, minute by minute. I chose to workout and eat differently. I was told and i also tell clients that adding these changes are game changers-- and they certainly are with the RIGHT #intentions . My workout routine consisted of #HIITrunning about 2-3 miles 5xweek then coming home to do heavy, heavy #weightlifting -- by myself, (which eventually caused a back injury and my routine came to a forced halt). When id run back then, id obsess and fixate heavily on what i did wrong, how i caused my situation somehow and how i was unworthy of love.. i also obsessed on getting my husband back... it never happened btw. However, i became a picture of #healh and #fitness on the outside.. at one point i had a ridiculous amount of followers... but it was all a #lie My life was a sham and i knew it. Today (the 3rd pic), i may not be physically in the shape i was in before, but mentally, i am in a good place-- and growing and striving for more every day. I have relearned to do everything with the right intentions. I have chosen to focus on my #mindwellness and the relationship with my daughter. Everything else is currently accessorial. I am slowly getting back into heavy lifting and being much more #mindful about my body and my mood while i workout. It is a work in progress. Today i am #happy . I hope my story inspires you.
