#mindfullness#awareness#instachallenge inspired by @flow_magazin 🤗 #lastone#mychallenge#positivevibes#betterworkflow#betterlife#freelancerlife
Shout out to @pickuplimesdotcom for the recipe to these brownie bites. I'm packing my own food for my flight in the interest of making better choices than last time 😂 and they'll be a delicious treat! I also made her Mediterranean lentil wrap to take, which is a winner too. I'm not vegan or even strictly vegetarian, but Sadia's website is full of yummy nourishing recipes that make your soul and tummy happy.

New moon today. I wonder what it will bring. For you,for me, for each of us.
I sat up on the cliffs of Coogee this morning and tapped in to what exists there and what was The energy of the past, present and future and was once again reminded of impermanence and the cycle of birth, death and rebirth.
We are constantly recreating ourselves if we flow with the cycles, otherwise we are in a place of suffering if we refuse change out of our own fear. This only perpetuates hate within ourselves and also it can create an aversion to diversity and difference in the world and with each other.
Choose love instead at a time when hate seems to be winning in the world. Choose equality and choose to flow with life - this will serve others around you also. Yes, this is a choice open to us in a place of privilege. Others do not always get the opportunity to choose.
I've been feeling kind of weird lately. I couldn't motivate myself to leave the bed, I didn't enjoy anything. I cried a lot and didn't eat at all.
Everyone has that sometimes and there's no need to get angry at yourself. Instead, I'm proud, I managed to wash my hair and do a face mask yesterday even though I ended up in bed again before I managed to brush or drie it. My goal is to make myself a good meal everyday from now on. To do one good thing for myself every day. Today's meal looks pretty sad, I didn't have more fruit in the house but I have melons on the blankets and lemons on my jumper, they make me just as happy. Also I got to talk to @theadventuresofjade today 🍋🥑🍓🍍🌱🌻☀️
The Solar Eclipse throws us into change whether we have been working towards it or not. I happened to be ignoring the pull. Tides of change happen throughout our lives in many different forms. Moments or eras of change affect us and make our journey unique. With this overwhelming wave crashing over us today, it is important to be enthusiastic or have forgiveness at best. Whatever dose of change you are receiving… Remember: it is happening for you, not to you.
I have recently decided, with my team, to make a large change. I would not accept its arrival, but my subconscious felt otherwise because the energy of the eclipse was too powerful. “I’m going to teach yoga in the city,” I would say to see the reaction of my loved ones. “I’ll just check out the apartment options just for fun,” I found myself thinking. Imagining this next chapter felt scary. I did not feel ready to gather up my belongings and relocate myself to a wildly different atmosphere.
Aversion is one of the five Kleshas in Yoga Philosophy called Dvesha. The Kleshas hold us back from enlightenment and self realization. They cloud our consciousness as they promote unbeneficial behavior patterns with their toxic energy. Dvesha habits are avoiding people, situations and experiences that we attach hate to. In order to free yourself from Dvesha, you must not love something too intensely nor hate radically.
I believed I hated the city. I was taught from a young age that the over populated city that never sleeps was not the place for me. There are loud sirens, strange fumes, people everywhere- “Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!” I held on to this belief, and in each NYC day trip I’ve been on, I dreaded it…. up until now! This enormous change is the next move on my journey and there is no way I will avoid it.
Shocked, yes I am. My family is as well. The subtle body that we attach our spiritual self to will always deal with the conflict regarding labels. Push past the opinions on who you and your loved ones think you are- we are infinite, ever changing beings! ..... Find the full piece at: www.solseed.life/blog
Sometimes, the soft and gentle inner voice knows what you truly want and what you need to do.
But what would you do if that voice tells you… something not common sense something not the norms something that somebody never does before
something that you never do before?
Do you dare? Will you try? #selfcourage#standingalone#doyoudare#willyoutry#atalktoself
Sawadee. So I'm currently sat with my dressing gown on, cold and flu tablets at the ready, and cup of hot tea in one hand. I need to listen to my body and let it repair or I'll never get one step closer to a better version of me. We all need to remember and be realistic. We won't get from 0 too 100 in ten seconds. So sit back, rest and relax. Then you go get it honey! Determination is key 🔑
Tie Dye vibes got us like 😍. We caught up with Austin’s tie dye textile queen @mercedezrexdesigns to learn more about her craft & story. ·······Who is Mercedez?
These are a few of my favorite things- Music. Food. OUTSIDE, especially if water is involved. Eating. Science, Art preferably both at the same time. The stars at night. Natural light, especially the break of dawn and the golden hour. Seasonal shifts. Bugs. Mindfulness. Podcasts. Dancing. Gathering with friends. Cooking. Shiny things. Learning something new. The cosmos. Plants. True Stories. All the colors. Tiny homes. Human connection. Experiential wealth>material. Sunshine. ·······Tell us the story behind Mercedez Rex:
It all happened pretty organically, I didn’t set out with the intention of starting a business. The drive to make things with my hands has manifested in many forms over the years: jewelry making, cooking, collage and quilting to name a few. I had tried my hand at indigo dyeing and really enjoyed the alchemy of it but, as with all things in life, I wanted more color. Eventually I began experimenting with procion dyes (the same dyes used in classic tie dyeing) and posting my results on social media (as one does). I found those posts inspired a lot of engagement from friends and family, soon I was receiving requests to custom dye things and it just sorta grew from there. ·······How has ATX impacted you?
Austin has done a number on me- There is an abundance of creative energy here, the maker movement is alive and well! After relocating from Brooklyn, I was inspired by the many people I met who were working their day jobs and also making time to pursue their passion. This was something I had always wanted to do while living in NYC but the environment was too taxing. Simple resources like, time, money, space and energy were in short supply. No doubt being exposed to a community of side hustling creatives inspired me to pursue my own dreams, I can only hope that I am giving back to that community by inspiring others. ·······What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Time is your most precious resource- spend it wisely.
Monday's, the start of a new week after leaving behind a weekend of wine, carbs & goodies with no signal, no make up and no guilt 😅 I'm actually getting good at this not beating myself up shit Yano! 💪🏼 I've got to the point that deprivation is no longer an option, over training is like Na & calories I'm like lol... it doesn't mean I'm no longer really focused with some saying a bit too much 🙄 but what I am saying is I'm finding out what works for me, this summer I've found that relaxing my food and training on weekends when I'm out and about had lead me to not only loving my training more but also just loving the weekends more 🤷♀️ I bloody hate the word, but dare I say it, I think I've found my balance 😣😂😂
