IS YOUR WORK ALIGNED WITH YOUR PASSIONS?
is a question @gofitJo always asked me whenever we would talk about my dreams. Other questions were: well, why aren't you doing it? What's stopping you? Time after time, I found an excuse. I dont have the time right now, I dont have the money right now. Maybe next year, maybe the year after that, but in all honesty, it was fear. What if I didn't succeed, What if I'm no good. It's was that mentality of scarcity, that what if I'm never good enough?
To be honest, I was getting discouraged in my yoga teacher training because it's a lot harder than I anticipated. I started questioning whether I could or not, and started telling myself maybe I wasn't cut out for it, but the thing is our minds are like a light switch, if you start believing that you can achieve you dreams, waj live the life you've always wanted to, you will. You wont stop at anything, even when there are road blocks, you'll push through it, and when there are times that you're only give 20% or 50%, it's becuase we're thinking of the how hard the obstacles are and not the big picture, the fact that we get this opportunity to reach our dreams. The most successful people have obstacles too but that's not where they dwell on. A successful actress doesnt think, oh I might be good, she thinks, I AM good. so today I reminded myself of my reasons, my "YES". I reminded myself why I am pursuing this dream, and that no matter how hard this path is for me, I will succeed, and with @gofitjo Day 3 #SinkintoSavasana challenge prompt I took the following steps:
1️⃣I blocked off time in my planner to study the remaining afternoon of my day off
2️⃣ I calendared in my study times for the rest oweek, and created a study schedule, just as I would any important meetings
3️⃣Mantras - I am RESLIENT.I will achieve anything I desire, and most importantly, I believe I CAN, and I will.

I have been so busy lately! I feel like a dog chasing its tail, anyone else ever feel that way?? I was talking to a coworker today about how much more rushed and under pressure parents are today than she was with her kids when they were younger. When you're constantly rushing from one thing to another - breakfast, drop offs, work/volunteering/chores, pick ups, screaming kids, dinner, sports, bath times, house cleaning, make lunches, etc., etc. - it's hard to shut your brain off at night and let yourself recharge because you're usually thinking of everything that needs to be done the next day!! I've decided to start giving myself some quiet time (I'm an introvert and in dire need of it) but would LOVE some tips from those who are experienced with mediation/silencing that brain chatter. So who loves to meditate and what are your suggestions?! Oh and which oil combos are great to diffuse to get in that mindset?!?
So you want to be tough..?
You want to be rebellious..?
You want to be badass..?
The show your heart to everyone.
If you can't spread love, then don't open your mouth, your heart or mind.
There's enough negativity in the world, you don't need to contribute.
I know I'd rather be known as a lover not a hater...
Wouldn't you?? 💕
If mindset is everything then spending time dwelling on the wrongs and injustices and how you'd repay them all only means you are stuck in that bad place and can't move on. Don't give those people the mindspace they don't deserve - just know that Karma is coming.
If you've been following me for awhile, you'll know I NEVER shut up about the @lifecoachschool podcast 🎧 I recommend it to you guys ALL the time and have grown SO much as a person from listening to Brooke teach me how to coach myself.
A few days ago I decided to make another investment in my personal growth and enrolled in her monthly online coaching program (called Self-Coaching Scholars 🤓) so I could learn everything Brooke has to teach on a much deeper level. And I'm SOOOO EXCITED about it 🎉 (btw - I'm not in any way affiliated with her or sponsored to be sharing this or anything like that, I'm just obsessed hahah).
I've spent the last few days working my way through her money mindset videos and, among other things, have been faced with an ungodly number of beliefs I hadn't even realised were holding me back in my business! 🙈 All of which will continue to hold me back until I understand and change them 🔨 which is exactly why I enrolled in the program!
Although I've done A LOT of reading about money mindset stuff and intellectually *know* the thoughts and beliefs I need to have in order to create situation I want, I don't currently have them 🙃 Instead, my actions are driven by thoughts that my money will run out, that people will judge me both if I have a lot of money and if I don't have a lot of money, my unwillingness to receive money for the value I'm giving and the list goes on!
I know money is a loaded topic and that everyone has an opinion about what people should and shouldn't do with money 💸 but money is just money and it's our minds that add the drama (which is exactly why everyone has a different opinion about it). And I'm just SO pumped to be dedicating time each day to learning how to manage my mind and create the mindset I want to create (because my mindset will create everything else in my life!).
Anyway, just super excited over here! 😁 As you can probably tell from the way I've worded this post, I'm still in the midst of figuring this out. But I still want to share it and I've been chatting about it in my daily vlogs that will be out a week from now! Hope you're having a lovely day xx

And every time I dive into the research on happiness I'm always given a big fat wake up call. THE THINGS WE THINK WILL MAKE US HAPPY - won't. WE will make ourselves happy
And you wanna know how? I'll tell you what the research shows - we'll get happier by making the people in our lives more important than things. By exercising our gratitude as much as we do our booties. By doing work that is meaningful not just lucrative. By forgiving. By believing in something greater than ourselves. And by choosing. Choosing happiness every single day💗
