Decided to try out #meatlessmonday 
I figured hey, it's Monday and it's been a pretty good, let's test my luck ((and my cooking skills)) and make a meat-less dish.

Viola ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป Sautรฉed cubed tofu and green beans in garlic with some not so cooked roasted smashed potatoes with a little sprinkle of Parmesan cheese ๐Ÿ˜

Because I woke up at 5am to drive to pick up my son and be home in time for the eclipse, I went to bed late, I lacked energy, I was doing the workout for the first time in a smaller space and my knees were killing me.... I had a hard time! .
.
So I didn't make it all the way through, I had to stop, but I did the best that I could. So I can't be disappointed in myself. .
.
And I won't be hard on myself, I am gonna listen to my body and rest while I work, shoot maybe I'll even take a nap! ๐Ÿ˜

Today I looked in the mirror and felt unsettled ๐Ÿ˜… took Week One progress photos and felt I'd taken two steps back despite my efforts. Feelings of defeat arise when we focus on expectations and imperfection though so I'm doing my best to stay positive and shake them off. Focusing on what isn't doesn't help us it just make us think our efforts are useless and make us want to quit.

When I started last week one of my mantras set was "I will not count myself out.... NO MATTER WHAT." The only way to get better is to KEEP GOING. The only way to change is to TRY. I will not give up on myself. This is MY journey and it means whatever I choose it to. Yes, this program is designed as a Rapid Rebuild but for me it's just about proving to myself that I CAN accomplish MORE than I have before. It's about integrating healthy habits like working out and eating mindfully as a part of my lifestyle not a challenge or temporary phase.

Today I reflected on my two year anniversary of my rotational fall with Tiegan, which was this past Monday. The fall resulted in a broken shoulder (socket and humorous) and my back where the shoulder blade connects. I am lucky to be walking, let alone alive with the little damage I do have as Tiegan landed on me and fully rolled over me. The last three weeks have been slow due to some health stuff (everything is fine). I do have to say though it felt so good to push through with a personal best of 20 minutes to the top. I was supposed to start my bikini prep this last week but things have been delayed as my body has needed rest. I'll get there eventually but for now it's all about remembering to breatheโœจ

Thankful that my amazing tribe (#flymisfits) has taught that there's more than just the daily body grind. โœจ

I remember when I used to criticize, poke fun of and belittle people who were loud and proud about the fitness aspect of their lives. The more I did this, the further into my rut of depression, misery and self sabotage I fell. 
Condemning the thing that deep down you really want for yourself only pushes you farther away from it. 
Calling someone a bad mom for taking a step back from her motherhood duties to exercise; rolling your eyes when another woman is complimented for her weightloss; humiliating your friend in front of the group for choosing a healthy meal at the restaurant. I still see it all the time, and my only hope is that you will one day realize, just like I did, that those thoughts and actions aren't just harmful to the other person, they're tearing you up on the inside too. 
With a little belief, courage and support, you CAN have what they have. Everyone started somewhere. And if you ever need someone to give you the kick in the pants to get going, don't be afraid to reach out!

This program switches between two different workouts a week. I had wanted to count or track each move each time to see how I improve but some are kind of hard to track like high knees, butt kicks, etc ๐Ÿ˜› so I decided to pick one move and track. ๐Ÿ˜…  What move did I choose for Cardio? BURPEES! ๐Ÿ˜ญ I couldn't do one once upon a time. Monday I did ten which I thought was crazy. And the second time I did 12!!!! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ’ช Felt amazing to push past that mark. I was like OMG I'm not going to make ten when the move came up, then I saw I had more time left... thought oh I can make just One more! And went faster than I thought possible and hit TWO extra! ๐Ÿ˜… Proud of myself of my 2. .

Decided to up my weights today on my squats!

Used my 20's that usually only yes for sumo squats!

Eventually I'll be strong enough to use them in other moves but for now I'm listening to my body and getting stronger everyday!

Attempted a @hellofresh meal yesterday, have you tried them? Daniel's brother had bought them for thier parents ๐Ÿ˜… but they weren't ready for vegetarian, healthy, AND portioned out meals so they were given to the actual vegetarian in the house, me ๐Ÿ˜› These aren't actually plan approved for the workout program I'm doing since the meal plan is very selective and low on carbs but the meals  are healthy at least, better than fast food for sure, and I hate letting good food go to waste! Plus I'm not getting all strict and crazy on the meal plan ๐Ÿ˜ญ otherwise I get "triggered" and binge eat like crazy ๐Ÿ™‚ when I try those overhaul kind of chances. At least I get to start sharpening my cooking skills. .

The first meal was Vegetable Lo Mein with Tofu added by me. ๐Ÿ™‚ They send you all the ingredients FRESH, with nice step by step instructions, and a picture of the recipe which I always need to guide me. I like being able to compare my kitchen creations to recipe photos and judge if it's okay to. ๐Ÿ˜› this one was pretty good minus the fact I used too much ginger for my personal liking. ๐Ÿ˜ฃ feel Id like to try this again and get it to YUM though!

Finally got my workout in! Its been a long day and I'm exhausted but I have no excuses. 30 min a day is nothing out of 24 hrs. I get so tired of people saying "I dont have time to workout!" Really....I work full time and go to my sons 2 hour football practice, my day starts at 4:30am and I still get it done. IF ITS A PRIORITY TO YOU THEN YOU WILL HAVE NO EXCUSES!! Growing up, if someone gave me their phone number I couldn't wait to call them! I literally would rush home and call that person up! If it was a boy? Literally sprinting home lol...But society and the "norm" was to play the whole "wait 24 hours or you'll seem desperate" game. And then when I did call them I was suppose to shove those feelings down and play it "cool". Like wtf?! -
Yeah, I never have and never did play the game of "don't catch feelings or show emotion" very well. But I realized, if that person can't accept me for not playing the game, then why would I want to share my awesomeness with them? -
You see, we get one freaking life on this big blue ball we call earth! Why waste seconds, hours, weeks, months and  even years for that perfect moment to tell others how we feel? It's pure freaking insanity to me!

1st day back to work from vacation made my anxiety through the roof.....so ready to leave and be a SAHM. Now off to football practice in a bit then come home workout, do dinner and then do it all over again.....

I just got home from my physical therapist, and I threw my back out good! I am supposed to refrain from working out for 4-6 weeks, and I have weekly physical therapy appointments for the next month.

Working out is kind of a big deal in my life, so this is definitely throwing me for a loop!
.
But ya know what?! I got this! My nutrition has always been my weakest area, so now I have extra time to focus on that.
.
And I am building a team of the most amazing coaches, so I totally have the opportunity to teach them and build us up together! โค๏ธ
.
Here's to not letting a little speed bump get me down! ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿป

3 weeks and she lost 4lbs and 7 inches but that's not even the best part, she focused more on how she was feeling because she knows the scale and measurements do not define her hard work! .

She's stronger, more confident and more happier and might I add she looks daaaaang good!!! .

We sit around wishing we could control certain situations or circumstances around us, but what if we put all that effort into controlling the things that WE actually can control! .

I know I have no control over others, situations, or circumstances, but I do have control over my actions, my reactions and what I do throughout my day! .

I choose to focus on what I can control, and not waste another moment focusing on what I can't!

Babe usually is still sleeping by the time I'm done so I get to shower and look somewhat presentable for the day. ๐Ÿ‘by presentable... I mean I don't smell like a gym locker room... ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ Now time to relax... Drink some tea and jam to some music.
