A male and female Mallard bath along the shores of Port Jefferson. The male is one of the most easily identifiable ducks in the world with it's a dark, iridescent-green head and bright yellow bill. Females and juveniles are mottled brown with orange-and-brown bills and both sexes have a white-bordered, blue “speculum” patch in the wing.

So thankful for being able to stay busy painting, spreading joy to others through my art. However, I'm really looking forward to slowing things down this holiday season. Over the next couple of days I'll be sending out the last couple of orders on my desk and tackling the not so fun side of business, sales taxes (yuck!). After that this girl is going to be letting herself rest until next year. I've got so many ideas swirling around my head for 2018, but I know I can't bring it unless I refuel my soul with the things that matter most. Thanks again for all of your support and following along, I truly appreciate every sweet comment and purchase! 💗#laczisunsets
