Here’s to my last day on night shift! Also fun fact: I fucking HATE sprinkles, they don’t add anything to the taste of whatever they’re on except for the fancy ones that taste like lotion and I don’t like the feeling of chewing them because they hurt my fragile porcelain teeth 😖 but I guess they’re colorful so that’s cool I guess 😒 Thank you to whoever left this cupcake on my desk though! I’ve heard it many times before, but someone told me today: “ to whom much is given, much is required.” What may be required of me couldn’t equate to all the many blessings that I’m allowed! I’m making a conscious effort to count them more than I complain!
Sometimes you just have to take a moment to enjoy a beautiful day. I gave up on sleeping before nightshift hours ago and instead I'm trying to prepare for the thing that fucks with my body the most. Nightshift is 3 am nausea and carbs carbs carbs everywhere. And no self control. Very few proper breaks and instead chips and lollies at 2 am. 10 years on and I'm still trying to figure out how to male it work for me. And in my new role I am doing nightshift nearly every week and it's killing me.
