🎉 Just a reminder that optimal health is for EVERYONE!
Rachel started her journey at a healthy BMI, but hadn't yet created the health she'd always wanted. So, she found a health coach and pushed herself to the next level, so she can now live the life she's dreamed of. I love her heart & passion!
"I'm constantly reminded when I look back to the person I was on the left (over 1 1/2 years ago) and to the person I am now on the right (last week), that hope and freedom can exist in my life. So many of us struggle to see and believe that the life we want is possible. To my friends and family, it SO IS possible for each and every one of you. Push past the fear and remind yourself that your life is worth it! We only have one life to live, so go after your dreams and passions."

I find it fascinating how this millennial generation is not interested in building longevity with an organization.
I once had a conversation with my daughter Brittanee. It was when I first moved into my home and met my new neighbors. During our introduction my new neighbor mentioned retiring after 47 years. I thought that was awesome whereas my daughter thought that sounded like indentured servitude and I of course was mortified.
We began discussing the value of not limiting yourself to one profession. Our dialogue was very enlightening because of her rationale. She said, “mom, I have watched you work very hard to ensure that you’ve provided the best life for our family which made you obligated to a job. You were connected to a job because you had responsibility so your life was based around your responsibility instead of living.” I found her statement interesting and inspiring at the same time since I recently read according to the American Psychological Association most people spend about 25% of their adult lives working and the reason many people remain on a job that may not be a good fit for them is related to salary, pension (which no longer exists in many companies) and benefits. She committed to being free from anything that would tie her down and I couldn’t help but think, hey, there’s a high level of logic here! Our conversation haunted me a bit and for a great reason. Are we, as a society, limiting ourselves and our career opportunities? In today's podcast Brittanee and I discuss all the possibilities! https://www.inyourkorner.com/2017/10/19/take-limits-off/ #nolimits#career#sucess

I started painting a few years ago to channel some excess creative energy.
It may be hard to tell, but I paint as a way to communicate things to myself.
It’s almost like I really have a higher consciousness that knows what I need long before I do.
This painting was a from a year ago, but looking at it now is giving me so much reassurance and motivation.
