🚨Status Update! 🚨
So I saw the doctor on Friday, and the good news is that there is no ligament or tendon damage to my shoulder. However, my collarbone has slightly separated, and the only way to fix that is with surgery...which I want to avoid at all costs. BUT doc said as long as I don’t make it worse, and it isn’t painful, I have the green light to proceed with my lifts on this upcoming Monday. This was the SWEETEST music to my ears. Having already taken over 2 weeks off it has been nice to give my muscles a break, but the pain has disappeared, and my motivation to be up on that stage could not be more intense! .
So obviously, I will not be competing in the Southeastern USA on October 7th. But the next national qualifier in the area is the Big South in St. Augustine on November 4th. So I’ve got 6.5 weeks to get in the best shape of my life, and I am SO READY! I’m going to start sending you guys updates on my progress every week to keep you all in the loop as to how i’m doing. I could not be more excited to get back on stage and to share my journey with you all. I’ve been postponing doing my next show for WAY too long, so this time I am not letting ANYTHING get in the way of getting up on stage on November 4th. I’m ready for the challenge. It’s me vs. me. sometimes when i think about my competition, i feel incredibly vulnerable & self conscious. not a lot of things went as planned:
✴️my custom suit order fell thru, so i had to buy a cheap premade suit that didn’t fit me, let alone look good.
✴️my body had several fat loss stalls along the way, i got on stage much less conditioned than i wanted to.
✴️i had quite a bit less time to prep than i wanted to.
all this resulted in me not being prepared on stage, i was considerably bigger than the majority of girls up there.
but you know what, i still got up there. i still got on stage and did my best. and sometimes, that’s the way things go in life. what’s important is that we can get back up, dust ourselves off, and continue on. be true to yourself and that’s what really matters. happy hump day y’all 💕

Comfort zones never yield success. When you are doing something new or different and you feel uneasy, you are in a great place! Today I decided to learn a bit more about Real Estate and sign up for a 3 day intensive course starting next week. Am I super passionate about Real Estate? No. Does it interest me from a long-term standpoint that could potential change my future kids life and give me valuable knowledge? Yes! (I do not currently have kids 😂)

Wrench 🔧 got thrown into my BIG plans. Apparently I need to take my own advice. 🤦🏼♀️ My training volume was too high, too much impact, too much running not enough cross training. I've been paying the painful 😫 price of injury due to my OWN overtraining. Funny thing is I know better 😕 BUT I'm human and I make mistakes and then sometimes I have to learn the hard way! I am going to the gym after work because I didn't get home until 3am from work last night and my body just couldn't swing it this morning, so in the meantime here's my face 😩😅 . I woke up weighing a new low 🙌🏼. I drank a gallon of water yesterday for the first time (even though I should have been this whole time) and I'm wondering if my weight is related. Either way I'm stoked to be getting my water intake down and I am so happy with my prep right now! Today is leg day and I'm ready to get it done! Happy humpday beautiful people!
So this is a transformation of about 4weeks of meal prepping and working out regiment! I honestly don’t see much change. But imma throw this out here Bc I have been working my ass off ! I feel leaner, stronger, and more focused than anything. My body is coming along! This prep is gradual change not five off the deep end to losing size with muscle.. NO! Not the case I want to hang onto my weight while cutting the fat swapping for muscle.. I have lost about 5 Ish pounds , dropped body fat -4%.. This little gem right here is a LIFESAVER! I'm typically an MNS E advocate (love my energy)... buuuttt when my meal plan is this restricted at just 10 days out... BENEFITS OF TRAINING BACK • Just because you can't see your backside in the mirror, doesn't mean you can neglect it. Neglecting training your Back can lead to many structural problems. Aside from creating muscular imbalance in the body, spinal stability is crucial for any muscle group you are training. In order to optimize your functionality and prevent injuries, you must have a strong core. Your core work should include lower back exercises - The muscle groups in the lower back include stabilizers and spinal support muscles. As you can imagine, if you only focus on crunching your rectus adominis in order to achieve that desired 6 pack, without working your back - well you'll probably start developing some lower back pain😤 So on this note, don't neglect training BACK! It's VERY important! And on an aesthetic note, you can create the illusion of a smaller waist by building up your back muscles. Don't be scared to grow your wings 🙌🦋💪💕
