“She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted.”
I wanna hear your inspiring quotes and favorite signs from the women’s march here! Check out my stories for my vids :)
I know it seems like all I’ve been doing since school started is go to cafes to study but I promise I get stuff done at home or the library, too 😂 If you’re like me, sometimes you need a change of scenery to be productive and that’s totally fine! This “Skyline” tea from @chaboba.us is a total game-changer for me — the color caught my eye and I ordered it without even checking what it was. (sometimes you’ve gotta just take a chance) My first block of exams are also coming up so I may or may not be disappearing for awhile. 😅
I’m at the end of my week where my feet are screaming and my calves burn.
But don’t let that fool you, I wouldn’t change it for a thing! What’s important to me is seeing the end goal and striving for it.
I’ve got a semester of hard work ahead of me but I’m not about to give up. 💪🏼💪🏼📚📝 ————————————————————————
I love my job let me tell you about it. So I work on the best floor ever, MOTHER BABY👶🤗. I absolutely love it, but I didn’t start there. I have been a patient care tech since May 2013. I started in the float pool so i have experience on almost every floor you can think of such as Med surg, ICU, ER/Trauma, Psych, Bone Marrow Transplant, Oncology etc. However, last May I decided to change gears. I knew I only wanted to work with newborns so I decided to transfer to the Mother Baby Unit. I love it, it’s my passion. I am so hands on not only with the Mother’s, but also Babies!!! After graduating nursing school I would love to work on the Neonatal ICU, but until then I am getting my experience on my unit😊. It’s so rewarding to help new moms, and sometimes we get put on the Delivery Care Team. So you can only imagine what we help with.. DELIVERIES!! No matter how many patients I have or how tired I am, I always have a smile on my face because I love what I do!!

Większość z Was to studentki pielęgniarstwa, pielęgniarki i inne osoby związane z medycyną albo chcące się związać.

Breastmilk and shaved heads might sound like an unlikely combination. Unless you're a breastfeeding cancer patient. Due to chemotherapy, Ashley learned that she was no longer be able to breastfeed her infant son. At the hospital, she was having to "pump and dump" her breastmilk.
5-month old Easton has a dairy and soy intolerance which made it very difficult for him to safely receive donor milk. 💜💜Coincidentally, Nurse Jaclyn Kenney who works in the Special Care Unit of the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center where Chestnut was being treated, has a baby girl with a dairy intolerance. Her baby, Halle, is only one day older than Easton. ——-

trying different ways of organization this semester. I usually don’t write out entire course schedules in a planner bcus it always changes, I usually hate carrying binders, and I usually keep the giant books off of my desk space. But I’ll be putting Adult Health and Maternity in a binder to keep the weeks in order and the planner was only $1 at Target so why not 🤷🏾♀️
It’s the weekend!!! 🌴 Today and tomorrow I’ll be finishing up some prework as I start pediatric nursing! 👧🏽👦🏼 Because our program only takes 9 weeks per class we have to do a lot of self studying prior to the start of the class to catch up. It’s a lot of rushed learning but in return we graduate in 3 years as compared to the traditional 4 or 5 years to get a BSN. What are you doing with your weekend? Work? Study? Play? Let me know! 😁
As young student in the medical field. .
My advice to EVERYBODY, be nice to your physicians, nurses and medical staff because you never know the day you might need help and some tips. .
The nurses and physicians I work with they have like 20-30+ years of experience. They been this longer then I been around LOL. I’m only 22 almost 23. I’m a baby in the medical field 😫. .
Anything I do, I always double check, before even doing it. I make sure I am 100% sure before doing it because I know one mistake can hurt or kill a patient. I know whenever if I am in doubt, ask somebody with 20+ of experience to answer your questions. .
My advice to young students, please don’t come in with an attitude “I know everything” because you don’t 🙄. .
The doctors and nurses been doing this longer than I been around. With that, I will not argue lol. I’m just gonna sit down and listen 🤓. #collegestudent#nursingstudent#medicalstudent#medstudent#premed#medicalschool#nursingschool#medicalfield#MD#futuredoctor#RN#registerednurse#LasVegas
Mindset has a huge affect on just about everything you do. We can view our obstacles and failures negatively or we can view them as opportunities grow, improve, and learn! When we adopt the right mindset not only will the way we view things change but our attitudes towards tough times will change for the better as well. We all have mountains to climb, but those mountains are what allow us to fully appreciate life! Learn to love your hardships, they are what make you grow as a person! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
