I can't believe it's going to be sunny and 60's all Thanksgiving weekend. That makes me wheelie happy! (Sorry, couldn't resist 😂) You can bet I'll be outside as much as possible.
And this #BlackFriday is #ImpactFriday for @letskeepitwild, so keep an eye out on @actsofadventure to see where we cleaned up this month!
These were some of the most unusual clouds I had ever seen. Best I can tell, they are mammatus clouds, but they seem like some sort of hybrid. They have the pattern of mammatus clouds, but the way that they twist and turn, and are elongated in some areas is throwing me off...maybe someone out there can tell me?

@marybrigidgilmore and I are at it again. On a whim, we decided to thru-hike the Pinhoti Trail in Georgia/Alabama. After a day on the Appalachian Trail and a few days on the Benton MacKaye Trail, we’re at day 10 and 130 miles. So far, there have been plenty of frozen fingers, long, cold nights hiding in a tent, gorgeous fall colors, and one much needed brewery. About 270 miles to go!•
Since moving to the desert I have learned a few valuable lessons. ..
Beauty comes in all different forms
It has taken me some time to see the beauty of this place because I grew up surrounded by rolling hills, fields of wildflowers, green forests and the blue ridge mountains of North Carolina
Even though I find those things more appealing to me I have met so many people since moving here who think this is the most beautiful place to be and they could never imagine moving
Have you ever had a perspective change like this in your life? Where something didn't seem beautiful at first but after becoming familiar with it and recognizing the fact that true beauty is everywhere, then changed your mind? ..

“WHOSE LAND ARE WE EXPLORING ON?” “The Dipsea Trail in Marin County features ocean surf, idyllic water falls and Red Woods that actually feel like they they have a soul. The Miwoks originally fished and hunted here and were part of the larger western coastal tribes that called the Pacific Northwest home. For a millennia, the Miwoks lived here and when pressured by incoming Spanish and anglo settlers, they adapted. I am only a visitor here, and I must be conscience of it. Today, just North of the one of the most iconic cities in the world, San Francisco, the Ohlone people still exist. Just 11 miles from modernity are these scared ancient trees. 🌲”

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. 🌅- Steve Jobs
As a maker I love working with my hands and as my business grew super fast this year, I lost sight of that a little. I know we still have over a month left in 2017 but 2018 brings some exciting things for this biz and I am kinda itching to get going. One thing is a limited edition collection that I will release throughout the year. These items I will make with my hands and follow some passions of mine. I don’t want to give too much away but look for some awesome accessories, maybe some jewelry and possibly some home goods I know you all will love. Until then, come to the events I have listed on my events page to see some fun products I’ve been cooking up. Can’t wait for HollyPOP! at the @oldartbuilding this weekend!
In American architecture, painted ladies are Victorian and Edwardian houses and buildings painted in three or more colors that embellish or enhance their architectural details.
Which one is your favorite?
I was woken up this morning by the sunrise. It was so strong and colorful that it forced me out of bed, to run outside, then snap a couple pics. Because it was so insane, I basically only had to edit this for brightness and contrast. The color was that phenomenal.
“The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.” - #CarlSagan#PaleBlueDot#choosekindness#chooselove#resist#sunrise#nmskies#seenonmytrailrun#optoutside

I’m so thankful to have a group of supportive women whom I can call my sisters in the wild. I have met so many talented ladies this year. We challenged each other to become stronger, wiser. They accept me for who I am and make me want to become a better person. We rise and fall together. We are so different and that’s what makes it special. Lets keep creating more memories for years to come. No matter the distance, I’ll always be there for ya. 🤟🏾♥️
