There is a lot of misinformation around what is good sitting posture. The impression I get from patients is that they believe good posture is to hold themselves upright and maintain "neutral spine". There are several flaws with this. Firstly, there is only weak evidence to support the theory that a slumped sitting posture is associated with back pain. Secondly, it fuels the thought process that we should keep our spines rigid and straight. We are designed to move. If you are uncomfortable in your sitting position, change sitting position. This may mean slouching more, sitting up taller, drawing your chin in, tilting your head to the side or just getting up and moving. Whatever feels comfortable! Let go of your old belief systems. To be blunt, sitting in a hyperextended "stick up the bum" posture is certainly not the best posture. While it may be comfortable for some people, for others it can be the cause of their symptoms. So relax, get comfy but be sure to move before you get achy! 👩🏼🏫 -Steph .

WORK FOR IT; DON'T FAKE IT...
Sad reality is most will still overlook genuine goodness and choose stereotypical girls who look pretty and put less than half the effort...
I wish more people respected talent and gave opportunity to those who are not typically models...
What we watch in ad campaigns has a big effect on trends and moulding the mentally of the masses...
Why does a fairness cream campaign put oil and tan on a fair face to make it look dirty; as if having a naturally dark or oily skin is somehow your fault and fair is all that is acceptable???
Why does an apparal brand only use a model that can wear their smallest size???
Why does a food brand use someone skinny to show that their product does not harm the health and wellbeing of the consumer???
Unless big platforms start accepting real people over plastic perfection, we as individuals will not be about to do much...
Sadly we lack the unity we need to help goodness thrive...
It is high time we give equal opportunities to everyone...
I have no problem with a beautiful person getting paid for looking fabulous on screen...
I am sure they too work hard in their own way to get there...
But I have a problem when those who work harder than many are deprived of opportunities just because they are not generically blessed...
Basically, you do not stand a chance unless you are fitting the perfection that society has gradually gotten addicted to...
IF A GENERICALLY BLESSED BEAUTY DESERVES TO BE THE FACE OF A BRAND THEN THOSE WHO WORK HARD ALSO DESERVE TO BE NOTICED, APPRECIATED AND REWARDED...
Please stop beauty shaming when you choose who gets big opportunities and who gets sidelined...
I may lose the interest of some brands by posting this but I need to speak up if no one else will...
Then again, those brands never cared for real talent...
