Today, August 24, 1966, in Beatles History, a day off and another press conference.
Immediately after their second concert at New York's Shea Stadium, The Beatles flew to Los Angeles. They arrived in the early hours of this morning.
There were no concerts scheduled for this day; it was a rest day for the group to recuperate before continuing their final tour in Seattle.
They stayed at 7655 Curson Terrace in Beverly Hills, which Brian Epstein had rented for this brief stay. The Beatles were visited by their former press officer, Derek Taylor, as well as members of The Byrds and The Mamas And The Papas.
Derek Taylor, "I'd left The Beatles in December 1964, and gone to live in Hollywood for three years. Things had got very 'successful', which means I took on too much: The Byrds, Beach Boys, Van Dyke Parks, Mamas and Papas, Chad and Jeremy - the intelligent side of US pop - and so I'd dropped out because it was all too much."
The Beatles gave a press conference at the Capitol Records Tower Los Angeles on August 24th. David Crosby, who at the time was a member of The Byrds, was part of the Beatles entourage at this concert. He can occasionally be spotted in the film of the press conference. Following the press conference, the Beatles were awarded Gold records by Capitol and RIAA for their latest LP, 'Revolver.'
In the evening Capitol Records' president Alan Livingstone threw a party for The Beatles, which was attended by well-known show business personalities including Edward G Robinson, Jack Benny, James Stewart and Groucho Marx.
The entrepreneurial path can seem so lonely at times.
Family don't often understand what it is that you do or why you need to catch that live training or sit on your laptop for hours.
Sometimes I feel like I've done so much and other times I feel like I'm stuck in treacle 😣.
When I drew these 2 cards, I wanted to know what my focus should be this week and what I could be unintentionally blocking.
Card 1: Successive Transformation
Card 2: Feed the Artist .
Be prepared for upgrades in mindset, transformational creativity and a whirlwind of soulful inspiration.

Imagine it's autumn, then nature dies, and then in the spring, everything blossoms out and gets a new life. Suits to enjoying the sun shining against the water. Take care of the nice moments. Everything is so nice and demandless.
I don't even know where to start other than.....wow. Just wow. These lovely people in my phone have well and truly overwhelmed me these past 24 hours. I never expected when I was sat at home writing out all our labels that I would have the response/reaction I've had. It has absolutely knocked me off my feet. The people that know me outside of my phone will know how this amazing response will have embarrassed me quite a bit but truly, thank you to you all. I am so humbled. All I wanted to do was bring a smile, a glimmer of joy, possibly a tear to those families that have lost a child, to know that their child/children have been thought of. I know how much it means when people have done the same to us. I feel incredibly lucky to be part of this strong loss community but it also absolutely breaks my heart thinking of the reasons why we're all here together 💔 wishing you all a wonderful day and thank you again for all your love and kindness. I hope Dexter Bear is proud wherever he is and him and his buddies are looking down on us all. Peace and love to you all today and thank you again, you'll never know how much your response has meant 💙🐻🌍 #stillborn#stillbornstillloved#stillbirthawarenss#losscommunity#lifeafterloss#wadingthroughshit#overwhelmed#tryingtodosomegood#dexterbearhopkins#stilldextersdad#missyoueverysecondofeveryday#breakthesilence#saytheirnames#peaceandlove
