Hi my friends. How was everyones Monday? I know most people can't stand Mondays, and I never did either, but my life and I are so different now, that they dont bother me.

Today wasn't the best, I am just being honest. Richard was off today, but he was upstairs doing bowling work, and I was downstairs doing my work. I talked to alot of great people, but everything didnt go as I had anticipated. And I realized something about myself...I am not a very patient person. I dont like waiting for things...I am more of a work for something, see the results right away kind of girl. Thats not life.

Things are going to happen in the right time...not when we want them to happen. There is a reason for everything, a time and a place, and we just have to have faith.

So I will work on my patience, and be thankful for what I have!! I hope everyone has a peaceful night, and I will talk to you all tomorrow!

Let's start the week off right...moving our bodies, even if its 20 minutes, and fueling yourself with some good protein. If you didn't make time to meal prep yesterday, Greek yogurt with a piece of fruit is always a quick, good way to get your day going. Greek yogurt generally has 15 g of protein per serving...but check the label for added sugar!! Isn't it great that we have a fresh, new week in front of us..right in our hands. We can choose what we want to do with it and make it wonderful, or we can just go through the motions. I choose to make it great...how about you?

Does anyone else struggle with screen time?!?! 🙋🏽 Please tell me I’m not the only mama going through this!! .
I honestly don’t feel like {for the most part} we do too much of it, and shutting it off was never a problem for our oldest, but our #threenager rides the struggle bus when screen time is over. Let’s just say, it’s no fun for any of us. .
I’m definitely not against video games, Netflix and YouTube or handing them the phone to play bubble shoot while you’re trying to finish grocery shopping, get a workout in or visit the doctor. #dowhatyagottado But, I also think if it’s not in moderation, screen time can be quite the little rabbit hole. .
Starting Nov. 6th, there will be a new rule in our house. 🙈30min of screen time for 15min of exercise! Sound harsh? Simmer down, y’all! I want my boys to understand the importance of getting up and moving and that while a screen can be fun and even educational, it’s a privilege not a right. As Christians though, we have been given the gift of our temple and it’s our responsibility to worship Jesus by taking care of it! .
I have the privilege of putting together an exclusive test group for a new family workout program! This was literally designed for moms, dads and their kiddos. You can not do this alone. We’ve already tested it out and we laughed literally the entire time! But we also got in a great sweat sesh! Oh baby, pistol squats are not easy! My balance is terrible and have to put my foot down occasionally to regain my balance...but that is ok!! Tonight was supposed to be Yoga Fix Extreme but I am not a Yoga girl so I switched it out with Power Strength Extreme. Even coaches have bad days. Even coaches have excuses. Truth is I really didn’t want to do my workout today. The weather is bleh, I’m feeling stressed and I just didn’t have the energy. But notifications keep popping up on my phone and the people in my challenge group are rocking their workouts and healthy eating today. So I’m stepping on my excuses and I pushed play. And I’m 1000% better off for it!

Now, that I am alive, and healthy, and fit, and happy...I do things for the first time all the time!!! It is so great to live life and not just exist...not just go through the  motions!!! Do something for the first time...MESSAGE ME...put your health and fitness first, for yourself and for those that love you!! I am right here every step of the way!!

I have SO many choices and things to think about on any given day...so I like to have a plan and just follow it. Takes the guesswork and stress out of meal planning. AND I know that I’m fueling my body with sound nutrition.

The same with my workouts...all I have to do is pick a program (I have access to hundreds) and follow the plan laid out for me.

How easy is that?? The hardest part is saying “yes” in the first place.

Today’s quiet time totally hit the spot. What does it mean to do good? Doing good means making the choice to intentionally minister to someone else. In this particular case our husbands. Being intentional like this, perusing what is good, it requires work and effort. No matter what stage of life you are in, it is easy to coast. It is easy to put the car in neutral. Whether you are in a demanding career or in the trenches of motherhood...or both...it’s easy to check out at the end of the day. You’re overwhelmed, exhausted and just plain out of anything left to give. But a checked out, worn out wife isn’t bringing her husband good if she’s coming to him at the end of the day with nothing left to give. 
A strong marriage is built on consistent effort, chasing after Christ and refusing to let go of the other person’s hand. It means arranging your priorities so your heart {and your calendar} reflects His order. What does your schedule say about your intentionality? 
I challenge you to sit down and communicate about time with your spouse tonight. It’s something we’ve been working on and it has definitely not been easy but caused us to grow and come together as a team. 💙💗

Today is a double fisted kinda day with my coffee. Anyone else feel like they can barely keep their eyes open at like 7:30 but then when you finally get to go to bed you lay there for HOURS? Day 10: But, Exercise Makes Me Want to Cry

Before I met my exercise-loving husband, I believed the only reason a person should sweat was if he or she were lying by the pool. But when I encountered Art, I temporarily changed my attitude. I was smitten. Oh, how I was motivated when I discovered that running was a fantastic way to spend more time with this man. .
However, on the first day of our honeymoon, when he woke up cheerfully and initiated an early-morning run, I thought, “Gracious, why would I want to do that? We’re married now.” And I didn’t run again for many years. .
Sad, but true. Psalm 86:11 – 12 explains my quandary: .
Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart . . . I will glorify your name forever. .
An undivided heart. My heart was divided between exercising for another person’s reasons or finding my own motivation. I’ve found that when it comes to my body, which 1 Corinthians 6:19 calls “a temple of the Holy Spirit,” that I can’t live with divided loyalties. I can either be loyal to honoring the Lord, my husband, and my body, or be loyal to my cravings, desires, and excuses for not exercising. .
An Old Testament story in Haggai struck me with the problem that a divided heart creates before God. The Israelites were charged to take care of God’s physical temple by rebuilding the actual structure. But just like most of us, they struggled with a heart divided by concerns about the everyday needs of their city and homes. And so God’s people neglected building the temple for ten years. Each year, something else seemed to be more important. .
Likewise, I found that my struggle to exercise got delayed by other things that seemed to be higher priorities. How could I find the time between raising kids, running a home, paying the bills, watching TV, and chatting on the phone with friends?

So fun taking my boys back to the same orchard that I went to as a kid!

Day 9: I Could Never Give Up That! .
MADE TO CRAVE

Self-control is hard. We don’t like to deny ourselves. We don’t think it’s necessary. We make excuses and declare, “That’s nice for someone else, but I could never give up ____________!” (fill in the blank: soda, sugar, cupcakes, smoking . . .) .
If we’re relying on ourselves, that excuse may be true. But there’s another level to self-control that too few of us find. In Matthew 19:23 – 24, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven . . . it’s easier for the camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” .
In other words, Jesus was saying that it’s hard for people who are satisfied with the things of this world to deny themselves. It’s hard for someone who is rich with excess to deny herself and be humble enough to admit, “I must give this up.” When the disciples heard this teaching, they were confused until Jesus clarified; “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (verse 26). .
Maybe you’ve heard verse 26 spoken in the common context that God can make us healthy, wealthy, and get us to a new breakthrough. We tend to think of it as saying, “With God, all good things are possible! With God, all lavish things are possible!” But if you study this verse in the original context, it actually means, “With man, it is impossible to deny yourself. With man, it is impossible to make sacrifices. With man, it is impossible to have self-control. But with God, all sacrificial things are possible. With God, all self-control is possible.” .
I believe this one little shift in our thinking can make us feel empowered, instead of feeling denied. Rather than giving in to the foods we crave, we can have God’s self-control to make a completely different decision, such as a decision for health . . . a decision for renewed energy . . . a decision for confidence and peace. Most importantly, a decision that honors both our body and God!

Having one last dinner tonight as a group!
We laughed, ate amazing food, drank amazing margaritas and talked about this amazing venture we are going on together...🇬🇧 One of the new coaches was asked at dinner, “what is your goal right now?” And she simply said, “I just want to help someone.” And that was it. That was the mission. Just help some ONE. It doesn’t have to be everyone but just help one other person around you. 
And that my friends, is worth fighting for, worth saying yes to and is the type of business I want to run! 
We have an AMAZING team and we are going to do AMAZING things!!!❤️ #coachlife .

Having one last dinner tonight as a group! We laughed, ate amazing food, drank amazing margaritas and talked about this amazing venture we are going on together...🇬🇧 One of the new coaches was asked at dinner, “what is your goal right now?” And she simply said, “I just want to help someone.” And that was it. That was the mission. Just help some ONE. It doesn’t have to be everyone but just help one other person around you. When I get off work I’m always starving & want to reach for chips etc when I get in the door. Having veggies & fruit already chopped up & ready to eat helps a lot! Works for my kids too. If they are in the fridge where they can see them when they are hungry, they grab them!

Ok, it's been a while since I've done an update...today was sort of a spur of the moment decision when I realized I am at the half point of my program. 
The program I'm doing now is a combination of strength, speed, agility and mindset. 
After completing 2 full rounds, I took on a challenge set out by the trainer, where he is leading us in a 12 week version with some added bonuses. 
During these first 6 weeks I was starting to wonder, am I making progress...is what I'm doing actually working...can I still accomplish change?

I'm always looking for ways to tweak and improve, at 46 I'm not looking to bulk up but rather tone out as much as I can.  Quick fact, doing strength training will help improve your bone density. 
This is what I've done so far:
Added 5.5 total inches of muscle - increased chest 1.5 in
- increased each arm .5 in
- increased each leg 1 in
- only increased my waist .5 in

Remember age is just a number and doesn't have to limit your beliefs.  You can accomplish any health and fitness goal you want.  If you aren't sure where or how to start, I am more than happy to help you get started and crush your goals.

So for a change I drank a some energize and got a cardio and a strength workout in. 💪

Good Saturday morning everyone. How is everybody on this beautiful morning. I hope you are sleeping in and taking some time to catch up on your rest.

The weekend is here and hopefully everyone has been following their eating plans, and getting their workouts in, and doing their personal development and getting things done. Most of us weigh ourselves once a week, especially if you are near the  beginning of your journey and you love the reassurance that the scale is going in the right direction. If you get on the scale, and you only see one pound or nothing at all....don't worry...good things are still going to happen.

If you are doing everything you need to be doing, your body knows it, and every week is going to be different. But you are going to be seeing and feeling results way beyond what the scale is telling you.

So I promise...keep on doing what you are doing...the results and hard work are so worth it!

Isn't it the best feeling when you wake up, and you think... I don't have to go to work today. You can do anything that you want...you really can, it's your life! We are so lucky to be able to get up, do what we need to, and then have the whole 24 hours to do, to go, to try whatever it is we want to do. Every day is a gift...a clean slate to do with what ever we want. Make it good..make it colorful..make it you!! Have a wonderful day...let's all be the best we can be!

Today I so excited and blessed to be able to share this program with others.
