I think we all can agree that carbs are one of the best things about being a living breathing human. But unfortunately not all carbs are created equal

As shown above they are divided into three different types..

Generally you’ll do well if majority of your diet is made up of fibrous & complex carbs. This means LOTS of vegetables and also unrefined complex carbs – think brown rice, beans, oatmel etc.

Simple carbs generally taste the best – things like lollies, donuts, dairy products etc would fall under this category. Unfortunately these foods aren’t fantastic for the health and should be limited – life sucks sometimes. The good news though is that they can easily be incorporated into any diet plan in moderation & will make your dieting process much less miserable.

Fruits would also be considered simple, but fruits are obvs awesome, 'simple' to digest & contain vitamins & minerals we need.

Had a nice walk on the treadmill today, thats where I like to think. Today all I could think about is how my Charlee turns 2 years old tmrw! Its insane how fast time flies. Felt extra energized and motivated so I thought I should take advantage of it! 💪🏼 Soooo these pancakes deserve the full works as I’m STARVING!😋 Ps. I started going to bed around 930pm and getting up at 430am and it’s been a game changer! Way easier to jump out of bed, tones of energy at the gym and more productive through out my day! I’m back on track! But without tracking 😊 December is a month which I like to enjoy (in a very balanced way) - Christmas markets, family dinners, wine, desserts. At the moment I feel fantastic in my own skin.

I had a very long period of “dieting” meaning I just ate below my kcal usage (which is btw already HUGE to start with #alwaysactive 😂), and this definitely gave result. However, being in a constant deficit is more harmful than useful.

So I felt I needed a little break, in order to improve my performance and get stronger and faster. For now I am eating basically as much as I need/burn, on some days a little more. I cook and eat nutricious meals and I also enjoy a treat here and there. I almost immediately felt how this influences my workouts, and how much more efficient I am. 💪🏻 I love doing sports, and I especially love that I can put more energy in and get more out of my sessions 😊🏃🏼‍♀️🏋️‍♀️

You see what unnatural posing does, when it comes to emphasizing non existing gains? Example on the left photo 😁... And as promised, here is my burst of inspiration. - I’m back on track! But without tracking 😊 December is a month which I like to enjoy (in a very balanced way) - Christmas markets, family dinners, wine, desserts. At the moment I feel fantastic in my own skin. - I had a very long period of “dieting” meaning I just ate below my kcal usage (which is btw already HUGE to start with #alwaysactive  😂), and this definitely gave result. However, being in a constant deficit is more harmful than useful. - So I felt I needed a little break, in order to improve my performance and get stronger and faster. For now I am eating basically as much as I need/burn, on some days a little more. I cook and eat nutricious meals and I also enjoy a treat here and there. Happy hump day 😛💪🏼 Today I changed up my pre-workout, workout, and post-workout ways ~ after taking the day off yesterday and getting 9 hours of sleep last night!

Pre-workout: Tried @beachbody “Energy” and LOVED it. Mixed a packet in with 8oz of water and was out the door to the gym without hesitation. Kept me super focused and energized during my workout and less tired after!

Workout: On my story! Did 5 minutes of jogging, 5 minutes on the stair climber, and BBG (round 2) week 5 with added weights/strength adjustments! Some of it actually felt kind of easy because there were NO killer push ups or commandos involved 😉

Post workout: Been dreaming of a bagel lately and I’m tryna gain muscle so wa-la 💕 Cinnamon bagel with Justin’s almond butter!
