Anyone else feel like this on a #restday ? Yeah, me too. The truth is, rest is AS important a part of training as the running and the strength and conditioning and flexibility. Rest is when our hard worked muscles get a chance to recover and rebuild those tears we make in them while training, to help us become stronger, faster runners. If you're feeling tired, or have a niggle, or are getting a sniffle or are struggling to sleep at night, ask yourself the question are you getting enough rest? These are all signs of overtraining. I'm following my own advice too - 10 days after my ultra marathon, and following two decent tempo runs, it's soooooo tempting to get straight back to normal training but I'm being sensible and running every other day this week with a full rest day in between. #recovery#run#runr#race#ukrunchat#mileswithmichelle#running#runnershigh#rest#runner
So I've been really bored lately with not much to do to fill (all) my spare time...so I though, why not, let's organise a community fun run! 😬💭 Jokes 😉 But the fun run is legit. Its actually pretty neat that I get to do this as part of my 'day job' at the Council 👏
