Today that looks like getting to my "God place" even though the weather isn't quite right. .
Today it looks like stillness. It looks like soaking in one last unexpected day (oh my heart). .
It looks like warm coffee wrapped in a towel on the beach overwhelmed with thanks for the little ways that He sees me and the ways He takes care of me.
Isn't that the key to self care? Making space to acknowledge God as the one who takes care of it all?
When He is in control, I don't have to be. I can rest and be sure the world will keep spinning. My world will keep going. .
& He will make sure i get just what I need (I mean look at that view)
It's well known that preventing excessive fat gain and being relatively lean is beneficial for your health . But there eventually is a point where "lean" becomes "too lean." To provide more clarity on this matter, a study was done to develop general guidelines on healthy body fat percentage ranges . .
This study indicates that for males a body fat percentage of about 8-20% can be considered "healthy." For females, this was about 20-32%. As the lower limit for competitive athletes, other research suggests a minimum body fat percentage of 5% for males and 12% for females . .
With that said, it's worth mentioning that the tools commonly used in research (and real-life) to predict body fat levels can be quite innacurate . So don't think in "black-and-white" terms when it comes to your body fat percentage. .
These numbers are nothing more than general guidelines. It's not necessarily a bad thing if your prediction of your body fat percentage slightly deviates from this guideline. .
