DITCH JUDGEMENT 〰
I used to be surrounded by people who judged and bonded over judging others. Over the years I’ve learned that judgement is used as a way to project your own insecurities or feelings of unworthiness outside from yourself, in an effort to make yourself feel better. I’m loving learning about the 6 steps to ditching judgement in this book ♥️✨ What are you reading?
PS If you haven’t watched it already my new video is out on YouTube on whether or not you should eat before or after a workout + what I eat in a day ⚡️ Link in bio! X
Say NO to plastic!
We want to be an environment-friendly, green hotel. Its all about taking small steps towards mother earth so as to make this planet a better place for our generations to come.
This is one of this small steps, with a big impact: :) We do not sell any plastic water bottles at our hotel :) The solution is simple:
1) Every guest at our hotel can use these nice stainless steel water bottles that can be refilled for free.
2) We have 3 water dispensers, one in each floor for self service water refill. (this 30 liter bottles are returned back, cleaned and refilled)
3) In the restaurant we serve drinking water in glass bottles or glasses.
By doing this we prevent an estimate of more than 10,000 plastic bottles to end up in a land fill or in the sea! -We challenge all the other hotels and restaurant in Sri Lanka to do the same!
This is a clear sign we need to start recycling, reducing, and reusing. PLEASE start by signing up with @recyclebeirut - it takes you literally a couple of minutes, and once you get into the habit of sorting your waste, trust me you’ll never be able to toss everything into one bin again. Also, avoid using plastic bags when shopping - put as many items as you can into one bag, or get your own reusable shopping bag with you. Supermarkets tend to give you a plastic bag even for a tiny item you could hold in your hand or put in your handbag! #bethechange - The government doesn’t care and never will.

Made a set of hoods for a husband & wife. There so pretty I almost didn't want to let them go! But they really like their hoods so- worth it! They're from a very warm climate and not used to snow and winter so the hoods are extremely warm.
I used an old Navy throw, a houndstooth wrap skirt (wool), and one scarf. ... Looks like I blew up a Muppet hide in my apartment chopping up that throw but I'm proud of my work. So purdy.
We have a heap of high end men’s corporate wear in at the moment. This Ben Sherman Navy Pinstriped blazer paired with this Calvin Klein shirt will have you looking a million bucks, and cost you (seriously) just $2. See you Wednesday from 8am!
TGIF @craftingwithcrap peeps! It’s time for #fridayinspiration / #followfriday . For CwC’s first installment I’m featuring my lovely and inspiring friend Irina. Irina runs two initiatives - @frameworq and @fabcyclevan. With both, she definitely turns trash into treasure. Through @frameworq she hosts free repair events throughout Vancouver where you can drop in, mend your clothes, socialize plus learn new skills. So kewl! @fabcyclevan is all about diverting fabric waste from the landfill. Irina picks it up and finds options for upcycling it. She connects with local artisans and designers for refashioning the scraps and offcuts. She’s making #craftingwithcrap magic happen. Yay Irina! 👍💖👏
I haven't posted much this month because I've been traveling around Australia a bit, both with my family and by myself☺️ one thing I noticed that made me super happy is that many small businesses along the coast seem super tuned in about reducing waste! Loads of coffee shops sold keep cups, acai places used biodegradable bowls, and several takeaway food spots offered wooden spoons instead of plastic ones! Plus I can't even tell you how many "don't be a tosser" signs I saw encouraging people to reduce waste ♻️🗑Obviously there's still a lot of work to be done, many people still use single-use plastic on the daily and I left the beach each day with litter I'd picked up (so many toxic cigarette butts), but this is an encouraging start. I think the reason people who live around the ocean, the forest, or other beautiful natural spots seem to promote earth friendliness more is that they see just how much we stand to lose every day if we don't take care of the earth, and they know that this beautiful planet is worth protecting 🌎💙 so keep your passion for helping the earth alive by surrounding yourself with nature, travel consciously by bringing reusables and being careful of your trash creation, and support local spots that are doing their bit to help Mother Earth! Every small step helps🤗❤ #sustainableliving#consciousconsumer#consciousness#smallsteps#travel#traveler#ocean#nature#environment#environmentallyfriendly#recycle#reduce#reuse#bringyourown#nowaste#plantbased#plasticfree
HMA Windward helped clean up Kalama Beach today. It's important to take care of the place we live. #reduce#reuse#recycle

I finally bit the bullet and got myself an earth bottle water bottle today! I have been wanting one for months and just putting it off for no apparent reason other than I’m a tight ass! 😂
But when I thought about it, it’s something I can use over and over again, will keep my drinks super nice and cold, plus it’s stainless steel so you can use your oils in them if that’s something you so desire! (I’m not a huge fan of glass bottles because I’m clumsy af and have smashed/dropped several, no chance of that happening with this one!) This is the larger size at 750ml and I got mine locally at @romagifts ✨
Also, look how damn pretty is it!
May all of us and the planet we share flourish.
This Japanese character is part of the Rapt logo because the idea of using fabric as giftwrap dates back thousands of years in Japan. Tsutsumi, the art of wrapping, includes using cloth squares or furoshiki. Your present, our future
I’ve taken to toting this thing around to carry my water in.
It’s a recycled Organic Pomegranate juice glass bottle, and I love it! Yep it’s heavier than plastic, and I know there’s all the no BPA ones out there, but cmon it’s plastic - there’s probably more in it that’s not good for us. On the go it’s hard to avoid. But reusing the same glass bottle reduces waste and also doesn’t degrade with use as quickly (unless I drop it 😬🤞)
This one also carries a litre so Im able to track my water intake more accurately. Im usually not so good with that and am really trying to make sure I’m supplying my body and cells with enough clean and fresh water. 💧
It’s reusable month here at Cairns Co Op and bulk buys are all what’s happening! •Bamkiki degradable bamboo toothbrushes.
