Took a nice 7.6k cruse kind of run with a bunch hills added for fun while I took in the Christmas lights in lower Gibsons. After my run I felt tired but managed to push and get a 3:00 minute dead hang in for the #ocrbeastchallenge 🎅🎄🏃🌈💪
Back in July I started noticing that my heart rate would spike EXTREMELY high during my training sessions🙆♀️. My coach even recommended me to get my heart checked. My heart rate wasn't normal💔. Something was not right💔. My Dr. gave me this heart monitor to wear for 2 whole weeks, and thank God, when he went over the data, everything looked fine; however, I did have another problem that was causing my ❤ rate to spike: I had an over active thyroid, which basically means my thyroid gland was producing more hormone than needed (this can be genetic, my mom has it too🙄) I was glad that the only bad symptom I ever had was the spike in my heart rate (there's usually other really bad symptoms involved, and people find out they have it after 2 yrs). We caught the problem on time, and it didn't develop into anything worse. I now take meds to keep it regulated, and feel amazing again🙇♀️. I will post more about this later on, but for now, I am just extremely thankful to God for my life, bc many others have it worse...and instead of complaining, I choose to be thankful, to live everyday to the fullest, and to embrace change.❤❤🙇♀️🙇♀️

Who got the same email like me? 😩 I knew from the start that it’s a non-guaranteed entry but it’s still sad. Oh well. Gonna try again next year or maybe try for New York Marathon. I would like to run all the major world marathons(Tokyo, London, Berlin, Boston, New York, Chicago) before I turn 40 (or maybe 50) 😜😂🤣 #dreambig#chicagomarathon#goals
