It was great to unexpectedly to finish a work course early, so I took the afternoon off. I headed off to Cotton On to see those high waisted shorts being raved about by #BRW and #runningmumsaustralia ladies. They felt really good on and i had a discount so bought a couple of pairs. Raced home and headed out for a good 5km run. Its been ages since Ive run, having had itb niggles, influenza A and of course an amazing holiday. Those shorts and the matching crop of course held all my stuff in place, no rolling up or down. Super impressed. Although I *might* have accidentally forgot to take off some tags in my rush to head out....oops #cottonon#runningagain#feelinggoodtoday#afternoonoffwork#beautifulqld#beautifulqldweather
5kms run locally with Sally Hinchey and Fine Greatorix. Absolutely perfect conditions for running and a glorious morning. Sally is now 36 weeks along in her very healthy pregnancy ( Dr says still good for her to keep running, we walked up the big hills). Coffee afterwards at "Hugh John Manors" in the morning sunlight. Outstanding!!! #runningmumsaustralia#training#healthylifestyle
Throwback to a few weeks ago when fisiocrem sponsored athlete @anacroger completed her third world major and her eighth full marathon! Read all about what it was like to cross the finish line of the Berlin Marathon now on the fisiocrem blog! Congrats again Ana 💜#fisiocremaustralia#hurtingsucks
Holy hell that was a tough 20km run! It doesn't matter how Fit you are we're always bound to have shitty runs here and there! The humidity and wind killed me this morning that I gave myself permission to walk short spurts if I needed to cause I thought this late in the game there's no point trying to kill myself in the heat #runnersproblems#nycmarathon2017

Hot and steamy Thursday morning! So I had my alarm set for an early run but had such a bad night's sleep decided to do it later. However our four year old two legged alarm decided to wake up at 5:30am. Someone was telling me something so went for a run, need the endorphins to get through today.
First run back since MM and not surprisingly my legs are still a bit tired. No soreness though 👍
3km @ 5:30 pace
Very hot & Sweaty run tonight! I felt really good on the tready. Did 6.03kms in 38mins, pretty happy with that considering it’s still 31degrees in my exercise room.
I can’t run all the time, sometimes I only manage to run once a week, but I truly believe every little bit counts, I have been doing small strength workouts where I can and run where I can and to be able to run 6ks tonight with ease just makes me smile on the inside & outside. Your dreams can come true girls! Make it happen xxx
I’ve run in the dark, in full sun, in the cold, in stinking heat, draining humidity and now in the rain. The only thing I haven’t run in is snow - and, hey, that’s never going to happen in Brisbane. Ready as I’m ever going to be for the big day. #nycmarathon2017 ****************************************

Why do you run? I haven't actually been for a run for AGES 🏃♀️🏃♀️ but that doesn't mean I'm not a runner. That's what I love about running and just one of the reasons why I run - because the barriers to "get back into it" and low (all you really need are a good pair of runners!) 👟 Head to my Facebook page (link in bio / or search "North of Here blog") to watch the rest of this video and hear the #1 reason WHY I RUN. #NOHrealfit#instarunner#whyirun#itmakesmesweaty#runandsweat
I've been waiting alllll day to get on my tready! The stars finally aligned at 8:30 and I smashed out a round of intervals. Not quite ready to get into marathon training just yet (still bouncing back from the flu) but even run gets me one step closer 🏃🏻♀️
So #goals change often, but it was interesting to find this screen shot. On 1 Jan 2017, these were my goals for the year.
Every single one of them has now been ticked off... and in some cases several times over.
1. 3 sprint tris done and now registered for a 70.3 at @challenge_melb
2. I did the 70k race, and hoping to do a 100k race for Nov
3. I have done this ride many times
4. I now run 5k consistently under 30min, and am sitting around 27.30 for my best this year
5. I ran 10k under 57min, and can quite easily run a full 10k now... I can run a full 21.1k...have registered for a 32km run in Dec
6. My cumulative kms are currently sitting at 1,032km running, 2,808km cycling, 78km swimming. Total: 3,918km
7. I had shin splints (that @jess.the.osteo fixed easily) but touch wood, nothing too major - cross training and listening to the coach @timreese34 works
8. I got my half Mara PB at @melbmara on the weekend
Moral of the story - aim high, but don’t lose sight of what you originally set out to achieve when you are always striving to do better - guess I have to say 2017 has been a fairly successful year as far as my fitness goals are concerned
It was HOT and as predicted there were definitely HILLS... but somehow we managed to make it look like alot of fun on Sunday 😊 great views, great company and a few cups of water over the head to cool down, perfect 10km 'fun' run (well half walk) at Run with the Wind 🏃 thanks @victoriasuv #keepingfit#funtimes#runningmumsaustralia#greatcompany
