Feeling very tired and deflated today due to ‘the time of the month’ I finally managed to convince myself I was so happy with my progress last week, and now I feel like I’m back to square one😂 just remember that your body doesn’t change that drastically overnight or in a few days, it’s just your brain telling you that it has. So what I’m abit more bloated, I’m a women and it’s life, no one has a shredded 6 pack every second of everyday! Don’t beat yourself up for being real

I’ve been working on handstand press ups, pull ups and chin ups to add definition to my upper body. It’s a rewarding regime as I have noticed improved structure and shape already. It’s also greatly improved my strength. THAWING.  After 8 months my adhesive capsulitis has moved into the thawing stage.  Today I am able to work “almost” vertical with the help of the #yoga tuneup ball.  I have utilized many other strength and stretching movements, which I have been actively doing for the past 8 months.  End range of movement is almost pain free.  To anyone who has suffered this condition, my recommendation is simple, keep moving it! The only reason I  am able to do this so early on, is movement, stretching and continued strength training. I never really do the same work out routine or have a set day for body parts, I usually keep the body guessing by alternating days or doing crazy super sets lol Shoulders and back tonight !!
10 min light weight/ body weight warm up
- seated machine press 4 sets - seated row 4 sets - seated barbell shrugs 4 sets - dumbbell front raises 4 sets
- close grip upright row superset with standing lat push down 4 sets
- light weight bent over dumbbell row superset with dumbbell shoulder fly you guessed it 4 sets for 30 reps 🤙🏽🤙🏽😉 get them gainzzzzz !!

Rear delt development is absolutely key for capped shoulders. This muscle is often neglected in many physiques as it is 'out of sight, out of mind'. It's also fairly common to have your mid and upper traps take over when training rear delts due to the 2 being much stronger and larger pulling muscles on the back, a challenge I experienced early on.

To train the rear delts effectively, horizontal pulling movements (Barbell/dumbbell rows) are your foundation. However to supplement this, I would recommend doing Rear Delt Raises 1-2 times per week, 4 sets for 10-12 reps. Focus on leading with the elbows and raising the weight away from your body to minimise the traps taking over.

To further target the rear delts, incorporate Face Pulls and the Rear Delt Fly machine into your training for similar rep ranges.

Target your upper body muscles with this routine! Start with your main lift and then go into 2 conditioning circuits to build that muscle and burn that fat!

▪️Push Press/DB Push Press: Shoulders - Stand with your feet hip-width apart. Press the barbell/dumbbells over your head. .

▪️Squat into Front Raise: Quads, Hamstrings, Glutes, & Shoulders - Start in a squatting position, holding the dumbbell down by your leg. Stand up and raise the dumbbell. Perform on each arm. .

▪️Weighted Decline Sit-Up/Weighted Sit-Up: Abs - For the weighted sit up at home, if you can’t come all the way up, you can do partial sit ups as shown!

▪️LAT Pulldown/Reverse Raise into Row: Lats (back) - Make sure for the LAT Pulldown, you aren’t shrugging. Bring the bar down to your collar bone, pause, and slowly let the bar back up. For the reverse raise into row, squeeze your shoulder blades together.

▪️Wall Ball/Ball Toss: Quads, Hamstrings, Glutes, & Shoulders - Start in a squat position, holding a medicine ball/ball. Drive through your heels and explode up, throwing the ball up into the air. Catch & lower back into a squat. .

Upper Body Press & Conditioning 2: Target your upper body muscles with this routine! Start with your main lift and then go into 2 conditioning circuits to build that muscle and burn that fat! ____ ▪️Push Press/DB Push Press: Shoulders - Stand with your feet hip-width apart. Press the barbell/dumbbells over your head. . . ▪️Squat into Front Raise: Quads, Hamstrings, Glutes, & Shoulders - Start in a squatting position, holding the dumbbell down by your leg. Stand up and raise the dumbbell. Perform on each arm. . . ▪️Weighted Decline Sit-Up/Weighted Sit-Up: Abs - For the weighted sit up at home, if you can’t come all the way up, you can do partial sit ups as shown! . ▪️LAT Pulldown/Reverse Raise into Row: Lats (back) - Make sure for the LAT Pulldown, you aren’t shrugging. Bring the bar down to your collar bone, pause, and slowly let the bar back up. For the reverse raise into row, squeeze your shoulder blades together. . ▪️Wall Ball/Ball Toss: Quads, Hamstrings, Glutes, & Shoulders - Start in a squat position, holding a medicine ball/ball. Drive through your heels and explode up, throwing the ball up into the air. ▪️Bench Press: Chest

▪️Bent-Over Row: Back and Arms - Brace your core the entire time! Bring the barbell in towards your navel and squeeze your shoulder blades together. Pause and lower slowly.

▪️Triceps Horizontal and Vertical Extensions/Tricep Extension: Triceps - Keep your elbow stationary and close to your torso so you’re only using the triceps! .

▪️Dumbbell ISO Lateral Raise: Shoulders - These are killer! Try to keep your opposite shoulder up as high as you can throughout the movement. .

▪️Hanging Leg Raise/Ball Leg Raise: Lower Abs - Try not to swing during the movement. You can hold a dumbbell in between your feet for added resistance. You can also perform these on the captains chair equipment. If you need to hold onto something for the ball raise, you can do so (try not to touch the ground with the ball!)
