The less you have in your wardrobe, the more creative you become and the more you wear what you own. This is one of the secrets behind building your minimalist or capsule wardrobe. Special thanks to @unveilthebeauty123 for making this photo possible #mixingandmatching#minimalisticwardrobe
Truth: I'm terrified of meeting new people. Especially creatives. I bumble, say the wrong thing, make odd faces. But...I am who I am, eh? This year I've tried to be more open...to experiences and people...and yeah, it's been kinda scary. But I'm trying and learning. Alyssa reached out for coffee and a bit of bumming around to shoot and I'm so glad she did. Today she commented on the value of opening ourselves up to allow the good in and it occurred to me just how much I've shut out. New people offer new perspectives and I'm grateful for a new friend that's getting me outta me head and doing something different. And if you haven't yet, go check out @alyssamonette's work...it's beautiful.
#WestEndPants wearable toile, made from two ever so slightly different remnants + McCalls Kimono in orange linen. Planning on these pants in an earthly silk noil or something *flowy* 🤔 not sure how I feel about them yet... #handmade#slowfashion#memade#memadeyear
Full deets on this look are up noww on the blog! These jeans are my #1 new faves, made from deadstock denim + they don't have any leather patches on the back! And can we talk about these vegan gladiator sandals for a sec?! I LIVED in these this summer and I'm so sad to have to soon retire them for the season when the weather starts to get cooler (which is proving to be much later than we expected huh?!). Head over to ◂www.ashleymorganic.com☆ for direct links to shop all pieces!
This beautiful maternity wrap dress is my favourite of all my new Etsy listings. I love how these leaves printed, so clear and bright on the earthy pink background. I'll be deactivating all the clothing listings on my Etsy shop tomorrow (Tuesday) night in preparation for a short holiday in Victoria, and will reopen late next week. My ebook will still be available but just a heads up if you want to buy an item of clothing 😊
Grateful for a wonderful day presenting at Sustainable Fashion Week! If you missed the live telecast visit link on the bio and skip to 03:31 . We are so motivated to keep sharing onward why sustainable clothing is the way forward! #shopresponsibly
Day 147 - Ok first of all, I should have gone to bed a long time ago. I’m going to regret this when I wake up tomorrow. I’m getting old…I used to stay up until at least 1 a.m. but now 11 is unheard of. Is this normal?
// Regarding clothes and books: I talked about my shirt in my last post, but this is a vintage 1980s skirt who shares my love of oversized pockets. I found the pattern unusual, and I love the buttons too. This book is called “To The Bright Edge of the World” by Eowyn Ivey, which I plan to read on snowy days.

I don't know who got it bad; they all look happy with their ignorance while I'm terribly sad of everything I know.
Everyday, I am surrounded by so many smiles and positive attitudes here in Guatemala. People are grateful for what they have and hopeful for the future. The women we work with are humble and caring. Their spirits really put my reality into perspective - really put my problems into perspective.
I share with you this quote, not to call out ignorance, but because maybe you will never see this scene with your own eyes. It is a reminder to please be more conscious about what you call a problem. To be more conscious about what you complain about. To be mindful of the world around you.
For a dose of reality, see today’s story.
