Kiera, my Black Racer is such a beauty!🖤 She has some iridescence to her in the sun as you guys can see on her belly scales in the video!☺️ Black Racers are one of the fastest US native snakes, traveling as speeds up to 4mph.😳 They’re also notorious for being defensive, my male (Kuro) is a fantastic example.😆 Kiera on the other hand is very laid back but you can still see how alert she is! 🖤

Legend says that Ptlepómene, a GIGANTIC gorgon with a LONG, long tail, guarded one of the biggest treasures ever seen. One day, two unfortunate souls entered in her temple, looking forward that treasure. But Ptlepómene caught them and screamed to turning them into stone. Her snakes shushed, making ssssounds in the air, but one of them was too SHY to do it. The two unfortunate souls were too scare. One stayed, letting out a SCREECH of fear, but the other one run towards the CROOKED entrance of the temple, never knowing what happened to its friend, Ptlepómene or the treasure.
Story time: there was this praying mantis I was taking a picture of in the forests of agumbe and suddenly there appeared a wild green vine snake the snake sought after a sly snack by stealthily slithering its scaly skin towards its scary snack. The snack fought back by jumping over the head of the striking serpent and boom goes the dynamite and the Mantis ran over the snake paying homage to the vine part of the snakes name. Badass Mantises prayers finally paid off the kung fu gods answered. End of story and this is an incredibly old picture and that’s why the picture is bad and quality is terrible •_• #prayingmantis#animals#insects#forests#wildlife#snake#photography#photographer
