I always wanted that "perfect body" so to speak. I would go through Instagram just looking at all the strong, successful and confident men in the fitness industry. Being the "skinny kid" I felt doubt as well as some disappointment in myself. Why couldn't I be one of those guys? Why couldn't I have the body that makes people take a second glance? I kept this mindset of thinking life was unfair while not trying to better myself. I knew I had to change.
One day when I was browsing through Instagram I came across JB; to say the least I was very impressed. After messaging him and chatting (about fitness stuff), I knew he was someone I would love to work with. He then mentioned he coached and I was obviously interested! One thing led to another and soon I was on his program. Highly effective and easy to follow, I started to see my body change. As I write this I am nearly 19 and a year and a half into my fitness journey. JB helped me get started and I consider him an important role model in my life. Here is my progression from the last show I competed in 9 months ago until now. Bottom right is today and top left was my last competition. I committed to making arms my best body part by the time I step back on stage so here's to another 6 months of busting my ass on growing them.

Occlusion Training: What is it and how to do it explained
@beyondthebestofficial bands for my first occlusion training session yesterday. I gotta say I'm a fan... they are easy to adjust and gave me a nasty pump to finish off arm day! Will keep testing them on myself before soon adding this technique to some of my clients programs.
Occlusion training is an advanced training technique where you wrap a band around the body part you train to keep the blood from leaving the muscle through your veins. What that does is allow the byproducts of the working muscle (like lactic acid) to build up within the muscle causing an anabolic effect. It works well if you use them to do several high rep sets (12-30reps) with very short rest intervals (30-45 seconds).
Near the end of your training session wrap your bands around your upper arm just above your biceps and triceps in the smallest part of the upper arm (if it's arm day) OR wrap them around your upper leg as high up as you can go (if it's leg day). Do four-five sets in this fashion with light weight (it gets heavy fast!😂)
