Please keep your domesticated animals/pets indoors as there may be a lot more wildlife entering private properties. Please also leave out buckets of water for them because they’re exhausted and stressed out and in need of the basics like water and shelter!
FYI I’m repairing a bite wound on this bobcat-several fur-filled lacerations that needed to be flushed and surgically closed. Trapping fur or anything under the skin that doesn’t belong is not ideal and can lead to infections and abscesses. This cat recovered well and is hopefully being a successful little predator in the wild.

LAFD released a statement this afternoon stating that they have been making progress. However the #skirballfire is still only 20% contained. Myself and my family are fine. Thank you to everyone for your comments and prayers. 😘 Not home yet, but we hope to be soon. However others are still in evacuation zones and are still being asked to leave. If you or people you know are asked to evacuate, PLEASE DO SO. Its not worth risking your lives or the lives of #firstresponders that are trying to help. Our hearts go out to all the people affected by the destruction of these wildfires. Dont forget to #helpanimals as well. Many hundreds of them have been displaced and are dying. Also people are in great need of help and supplies, food, clothes etc. Please contact the local #unitedway#redcross or #salvationarmy to give assistance or be helped. When you do things habitually, your brain produces oxytocin to reward you with a feeling of happiness and satisfaction. That explains, why it is so hard to break a bad habit. But I have good news! There is a great way to part with a bad habit: Replace it with a good one!
Instead of turning on the TV at night, grab a book, listen to some music or go for a walk.
Instead of hitting the snooze button in the morning, get out of bed and take some time to get your mind set for the day, write in your journal or just sit with your loved once and enjoy a cup of coffee.
