You see, I used to hide behind my hair. I was insecure with my body & my overall confidence and would keep my hair REALLY long... as if it was hiding me🚧
I know others of you struggle with this too because we've talked about it😜And it's a HARD habit to break .
You get attached to it, it takes forever to grow out, it is a shield. .
But once you break down those walls & just put yourself out there, pull your hair back, and own it --- well, your CONFIDENCE in yourself radiates! .
It's my goal to teach Bea this confidence too. So if she wants short, long, buzzed hair or even an undercut like her mom had back in the 90s, so be it. .
Just as long as we're not using hair to hide behind -- Make it something to make you feel beautiful!
2 years ago I made my first Challah for Feast of Trumpets!! Today the yeast is not cooperating, but it should still be yummy!! The Honey Basket Challah is my favorite recipe and braid!! Have a blessed and peaceful weekend!😘🙏
Here's another little food tip!
I will occasionally buy a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store. I remove the skin and fat. Then take the meat off the bone and chop it up into bite-size pieces. -
I spread it out on a cookie sheet to freeze instead of throwing it all into a baggie. This way prevents one big ball of frozen meat.
Then after it's frozen, I throw it into a Ziploc baggie. I can grab an amount that I want whenever I need it. -
I have a ready source of protein to go at any time. Just a quick defrost in the microwave and I'm set for a salad or I can make a chicken salad with it or I can send it in my daughter's lunch.
I could easily cook a whole chicken or just chicken breast myself. This would be even more cost-effective. But sometimes convenience is worth every penny.
When you wake up and check in with a huge group of women who have got your back then you tend to show up everyday in your fitness and your healthy choices!
When you are by yourself, there is no one to answer too. No one to encourage you, no one to pick you up when you are down, no one to send your sweaty selfies too. So it's easier to give up or get defeated. .
Well I can tell you from experience that we are stronger together!
Have a community of women that you check in with and talk to daily to help you stay focused on your goals and to do life with is a game changer.❤️

Better late than never. I'm so used to early morning workouts that this evening but is throwing me off 💁🏻
But still got it done today with a short little post natal yoga session. 💕that I can pull up my workouts wherever I am and squeeze it in.
I know it's the first day of fall and we have a few days left of September, but I'm seriously beyond excited for my October challenge group! We've got a new theme and new girls joining and omg, it's going to be fun! 🤗🎉 (more to come later)
But now it's time to make dinner and have some family time 😘
I know it's Friday and you probably don't give a rats a** about my workout this morning. But these are my Friday thoughts for staying motivated:
⭐️Strive for non-scale victories. ⭐️Take progress pics. ⭐️Take measurements. ⭐️Get an accountability partner. ⭐️Get rid of perfection. ⭐️Incorporate things you love. ⭐️Do exercises you ENJOY. ⭐️Get a fitness tracker. ⭐️Plan your meals. ⭐️Eat ENOUGH. ⭐️Drink more water.
I have to admit that it hasn't been easy after the c-section, the broken foot and surgeries, the weight gain, and being far away from friends and family. I can't tell you how many times I've stood in front of the mirror and cried or had to change my outfit or how many times I've gotten frustrated because I wanted to enjoy the first months with my little one and go out with him, but I had to stay home with my foot up. I'm the kind of person who wants to be active and go to work, and do this and that. But for the past 10 months, I've been very inactive, and it drives me crazy sometimes. At least I will have so many crazy stories to tell my little one when he grows up. I might never look the same again, but I'll have my little one to enjoy, Lord willing. Do your run? Do you cycle? If so, the amount of time you spend moving straight forward and back can really begin to wear your body down. You must be strong in other planes of motion, too, especially laterally (side to side). .
Add in some lateral power and strength training into your conditioning plan, both double leg and single leg, as shown here. Being able to do movements like this with power, elasticity and strength will greatly reduce your chances of getting injured with your other sports! (And yes, my lateral single leg hurdle hops need work...super lame 👎🏻) 😜
This stuff taste so yummy, but more importantly, my muscles love this stuff!! And today I had to fight to stay in it, but I love that I stuck it out and even upped my weights. But now I can barely lift my arms.
So glad it's Friday, but it felt like a Monday!! Anyone else riding the struggle bus today?
Happy Friday!!! This creates both #conscious and #subconscious agreement, giving the proper electromagnetic signal from you to the greater #intelligence field.

My health took a turn last year and thankfully because I had became a Beachbody Coach I was able to work from home. Day 4! Leg day!
I get it all the time, how do you stay motivated?! How do you get yourself to push play and do the workout everyday?! Here is the secret!!! If you want to get in shape again, eat healthy, change your mindset around working out, feel confident in your clothes (and without clothes 😂) then you NEED to forget about your FEELINGS!
You may be surprised to hear that most of the time I don't FEEL like getting my butt kicked for 30 minutes and being sore all week.
I don't feel like choosing my chopped carrots over the cookies at the grocery store. I don't always feel like taking a few hours out of my week to plan and prep some meals, grocery shop, and make sure I make healthy choices!
The thing is that i am willing to give up how I feel NOW for all the gains I will have LATER with consistency and perseverance!

Sometimes you can't always have @crossfithyperion take your picture (obvious to the viewer) and sometimes you don't realize til you get home that your pants were on inside out (not obvious to the viewer, thank goodness). Yep, inside out for an hour and a half in public👍🏼

90 degrees on the first day of fall?! 🙀🍂☀️ Holy heck! I'm dying here after #bbgweek3 full body and I was trying NOT to wash my hair today!!! 😩 I'm usually not one to sweat a lot, even during the most intense WO's, but there is no getting around this one!! 💦

my favorites from today's pre-run workout. a little power, a little stabilization...and a lot of focus :) add in some box jumps, shoulder raises, rows and DB gait swings and you have a nice little circuit. the core finisher you see here was no joke! I've been feeling a little off my game...bored and confused about my training (more on that later) so today was just playing around with some stuff I need to work on! if you need to mix it up sometimes too, throw these in for fun 💪
