It amazes me how much food plays a role in my yoga practice. When I first started yoga over a year ago, one day I could do a pose solid and the next day I would be stumbling everywhere. Now I’m realizing it’s not always my level of concentration standing in my way, it’s the food I eat. I can not even begin to say how different my experience on the mat is when i eat healthier lighter foods. Practiced supported handstand after my flow tonight, I still have a long way to go to strengthen my core and align my spine straight, but there are so many benefits to this pose ( healthy blood flow to the brain, increases mental clarity, strengthens the spine, etc.) I’m thinking I should really start doing this every morning. Here’s to learning something new everyday and creating positive vibes in life. ✌️The journey continues🧘♀️ 1/17/18 #yogainspiration#yogatherapy#yoga#supportedheadstand#salambasirsasana#foodandmood#yogalover#lululemon#manduka
“My child, never forget the things I have taught you.
Store my commands in your heart.
If you do this, you will live many years, and your life will be satisfying.
Never let loyalty and kindness leave you!
Tie them around your neck as a reminder.
Write them deep within your heart.
Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom.
Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.
Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.”
~ Proverbs 3:1-9
I’m longing for the beach and warmer weather... because in NE Ohio, it’s 3 degrees today. •

New Years strolls in San Francisco and Berkeley, and day trips to Santa Cruz and Capitola with my partner in crime really did hit the spot😎 Now I’m just looking forward to a night time coffee + ice cream date and my bday party next week 😬😬 #awinterbabyinsunnycalifornia 🤣🎂❄️☃️
Hey guys! I hope you’re having a great weekend so far. 😌 .
I wanted to do something relatively productive while I’m still too sick to film any video for the Online Studio, so I started working on some photo tutorials and blog posts for my website.
The first instalment in my Asana Tutorial series is Salamba Sirsasana ~ Supported Headstand Pose, and is one of my favourite practices for working on core strength and control. 💥💪🏻
Head over to the blog (link in bio!) for lots of tips and more photos. I hope you enjoy it! And please feel free to comment or message me if you have any questions. 🤸🏻♀️💜
Day 12 of #ayogisresolution : Balance. I strive for balance in my life, but it's a constant struggle. Whenever I feel like I'm getting ahead in one area, another area falls to pieces. For example, if I'm on top of the laundry situation it usually means my kitchen is a disaster. Or if I'm making money, my art is taking a back seat. I'd like find a comfortable balance between effort and ease in 2018.
The unlimited neediness of the soul matches the unlimited grace of God. - John Ortberg⠀
As much as we desire peace, time, energy, wisdom, strength, rest, companionship; that's how much (and more!) God has to give.
core work is way more fun upside down, and in ridiculously large bells! 😂 no, actually, it’s more challenging! in order to keep my legs safe from gusts of chilly air, i had to keep them pinned together - which is great bc i hear that helps with building strength for handstands and presses. 🙃💪🏻
i’m feeling super proud of myself for completing the @toneitup daily toning moves 9 out of the 11 days in 2018 so far. ☺️ yesterday, i was feeling like maybe i need two rest days per week (i only have one scheduled this week), but i got the moves done and felt pretty great afterwards. 😁 endorphins are magic! ✨
daily toning moves (minus the jumping) ✅
lots of inverted core work ✅

Salamba Sirsasana has been always a difficult pose for me since my teacher training. I have avoided it for very long but today i decided to practice it. Im proud of the result i still need props but soon i let go of my fear of being upsidedown and i will be fine with it. everybody find some asana easier than others, being good at performing asana doesnt make you an advanced yogi. It's not the results of perfoming but the journey that teaches us what we need to know. Have always faith in your ability.let go of fear see the light 🙏
#FlowWithIntent Day 6 Be humble #supportedheadstand#salambasirsasana 😊
Using the wall for security, just in case. I didn t even touch it but still. After being in a car accident almost 10 years ago I don't want to risk getting an injury on top of an old injury. My sensitive spot, probably more so in my mind than my body.
