You wouldn’t tell but I’m actually taking very few mirror selfies recently. Because it’s so dark in the morning that I can hardly get a decent one for my Stories. So I mostly post those from previous weeks and try to get some new ones whenever I have few minutes.
I was thinking - what exactly is it that makes me get up early in the last weeks and get those workouts done eventually without finding an excuse? It’s not just my abs goals or the desire to look and feel good in my clothes. Maybe it’s the desire to keep on being healthy and fit for the rest of my life. It surely is a huge trigger for me. But I don’t really think much about it at 6am.
Because it’s much more simple. Its just because I’ve established a habit. A routine. You can have short time fitness and health results that come and go but if you want them to stay with you you have to maintain a routine. It’s the routine that will eventually keep you going and away from the excuses. A habit just as all other daily habits, just one of those things you do because you’re used to it. -
Legday seemed easier than normally (week 43 like week 41) but I can already feel the soreness especially in my glutes and quads... never underestimate Kayla’s workouts. .

READ ALL⬇️⬇️⬇️Day 6: I know I didn't post for days 4 and 5 of #workweek but I have been practicing. For some reason, my phone wouldn't load the videos up, but I figured it out. I'm trying soooo hard to shorten my swing, but no matter how much I try to shorten it, my swing still comes out long 😂. Anyone have any ideas? Anyway, I'm excited for tomorrow because I have a special way to conclude work week. I'm going to do a live stream of my practice! It'll start at about 1:00pm so be there.... if you want. 👋🏼

Some wise man once said something about progress being found during states of uncomfortableness (I’m fairly certain that’s a word). Hopefully during this block I can make some quad gains, because I am surely uncomfortable.
I have been toying with the idea of front squatting again for the first time in many years. Many moons ago, front squatting was my primary compound lower body movement. I was pretty good at it, but when the powerlifting craze dropped, I left this movement behind. This weight is laughable, but is a good place to start as I build some level of coordination.
Interestingly enough this movement doesn’t bother my shoulders or elbows, which is the common complaint. My main issue is the pain in my hands. I have the wrist and elbow mobility to hold the bar in my full hand, but as the set progresses I have to let the bar slip into the tip or my middle three fingers. I plan on getting back to my former level of strength in this movement and maybe, just maybe incorporate some Olympic movements that I haven’t even tried in fooooooooorever🤔

So on the 13th, I fainted and got a concussion. 😅 Since then my symptoms have progressively gotten worse. I started getting these sensations shooting down my neck and spine. It honestly feels like I’m on fire at all times. My body feels warmer. Finally I went in on Saturday. I still have a concussion, but they noticed I have a severe muscle spasm in my back causing this pain. The doctor said, “oh just get your man to massage your back with his elbow.” I joked and was like “so can you bring him home for deployment for that or....?” 😂 I get my first ever massage on Wednesday. I’m really hoping this changes things for me. I’m so physically and mentally tired. I want to go to the gym and lift but I don’t want to trigger my spasms anymore, because it’s truly debilitating. Really frustrated all together. It’s affecting my performance in school with staying awake and focused. Constant push backs, but I’m still focused on my diet and soon to getting back into the gym. Here comes all the guys trying to slide into my DMs to massage me 🙄 don’t even try it.
As I’ve changed and grown this year and learnt to put more effort into giving the love I need, I’ve noticed the difference it has made with everyone and everything around me.
I’m slowly learning to change the way i approach situations.

Some days are just more difficult than others!! Especially with a baby that has been sleeping through the night for the last two months but has suddenly decided to wake up every two hours the last two nights!!😳I hope it's just teething and not another sleep regression. If any of you mamas have any advice on how to handle a sleep regression please advise!! www.square36.com
