when I come back to my normal life I sometimes feel like holidays were dream lands that didn't really happen...and over time that feeling gets stronger as I start to get back into my routine. I love taking photos for this reason, to capture a moment that is unique and perhaps won't ever look exactly the same, but also to look back and remember, because I forget a lot. I think that is such an incredible gift, to be able to remember with a photo. Something you took that triggers your brain into searching and pulling that memory out of the deep depths of your mind within seconds.
I went to Prague over two years ago and didn't take a lot of photos, so all I remembered was the feeling of the place. I knew I loved it but I couldn't really say why. I'm really glad I went back and remembered. It also makes me want to record memories more, through photos, or written records (sorry friends who holiday with me haha). Then I wonder if I'm wasting my life recording my life. Hmm.

I find it hard to articulate this particular feeling.
I think the idea of speed, tension and relaxation in the performance of magic is actually underrated. As much as so many people talk about actually utilising it.
I think we need to slow down, and take our time making more considered movements when performing. Let the moments breathe.
The main problem with most performers is that they are scared about being kept in a compromising position. Along with actual confidence in our own technical abilities. This can be while achieving something like a palm or as simple as controlling a card. I believe all it takes is adding a few beats, pause and interact especially while you’re in a position you’re not comfortable in.
Not only will it help you relax, it will make the magic you are performing more deceptive as well.
Find methods that in critical moments you are able to relax. We misunderstand how incredible time misdirection is, why are we only now realising that the CC Force is so incredible? Try apply these ideas to all of your magic. Not just a single trick you may have learned it from.
When you watch some of the best perform live, you can see how masterfully they use these skills.
The example above is a simple colour change of a card. Listen with audio and see what you think feels better.
Does anyone agree or have their own thoughts on this?
I have question to any inspiring artist how do you handle criticism? I've had people say my songs suck bad in all that.I'm old school but love hip hop music and love doing it I used to get upset when people would talk shit about my songs any artist would because it's your creation your art but I came to realize of course that music is art therefore it's subjectable but it still stings when someone says something bad about it but I learned to keep moving and don't really care about criticism if you give me constructive criticism that's cool. But understand that constructive criticism is giving someone something that can used to build from not it sucks it's garbage of shit like that your opinion is your opinion and thats cool but it's just your opinion I don't let one person opinion make me lose focus. But hey what's your thoughts?
