I’ve gained about 6kg since comp day in April and feel pretty good (will feel better when I don’t have the stresses of uni). But like, who ever would have thought you’d intentionally want to gain weight 😅

I’m heaps more flexible with food but still eating an all round clean diet 90% of the time, just a bigger range of foods. I don’t count calories or track macros bc I get too obsessed with it and personally, it’s not a healthy relationship with food.
I have a solid understanding of what I’m eating so I just do approximations which seems to be working as I’ve maintained the same sort of weight for 10 weeks now👌🏼
So until my next comp, which I’m aiming for season B next year, I’ll just keep pushing and making small progress along the way 🙈

▷10 modified burpee push-ups ▷10 squatedted toe-taps (per each side)
▷10 lunges including toe-taps (again per side)
▷10 regular leg raises (yes, again per side 😝)
and for all of you who want to push yourself a bit more or aren’t sweaty yet an additional advanced exercise:
▷10 one legged push-ups with a front leg raise

Ok sorry to be so extra with the fullstops but have you ever heard someone say ‘you will only get abs if you have a low body fat’ ? Yep, I’ve heard it loads and it’s advice I’ve probably given too but I’m starting to realise that isn’t necessarily always true, one size and one rule does not fit all. 
My body fat is around 27% at the moment because I like working out but I also like desert... Very. Much 😍. According to a bf% chart, that isn’t lean or even ideal for my age. That’s average, and I would agree. 
I’m living a very average life at the moment, working out, eating out, chilling out, just being real average and not being extra or trying that hard to progress, when I talk about balance I may as well mean balancing my bank account with my addiction to eating out 💁🏻. For some reason, I don’t hold a lot of this fat on my belly, it goes to my legs and back but it is there.. Having some ab definition (for the 1 second of the day when I took this), doesn’t make me fit and healthy. I’m actually slacking atm and really need to get my shit together. Told you guys I was going on a cut 8 weeks ago and failed that miserably so soz for the babes rooting for me, I’m too weak, I will try again and one day I promise not to let you down repeatedly #thisisreallife 😂. I’ve litch de-railed from my point, standard... my point is if something someone has told you to do doesn’t work for you, CHANGE it. EXPERIMENT. Find something that does. If that’s a exercise, find something you feel engaging your muscles, wether anyone on insta is doing it or not, be the shepherd not a sheep 🐑 . If that’s a diet, find something you enjoy and that is helping you to achieve your goals whatever they may be, who cares what people think about it, if it works and ya happy, bloody do it.  I’m not saying scrap basic guidelines aka be in a deficit to lose and surplus to gain cause I mean they are like factual but take those rules and see what works FOR YOU to implement that, CHALLENGE the status quo and find what works best! #rebel #beyourself

I have always thought that when you hit the bottom, it's because something in your life doesn't work, and often we try to get back to it and do it again but I truly believe that CHANGE IS THE ANSWER. If the meal plan you're on isn't working, change it, if your fitness routine isn't working, change it, if SOMETHING just isn't working, FIND A NEW game plan! I literally never thought I’d feel okay about doing yoga in a bikini. Mainly because I feel awkward when people look at me. And let’s be honest - a person in a bikini doing yoga looks pretty fricken strange. But mainly because I’ve never really felt okay with my body. .

I always wanted to be leaner. Have more muscle. Anything you can think of. I spoke down about myself until I realised that I should and am so thankful for this body. It gives me so many opportunities. .

So if I feel like doing some yoga in a bikini - then people can look all they want. I’ll do it with my cellulite and tummy rolls even if you don’t like it 🙌🏼😘.

Day 3 of cleaner eating and no processed crap and man oh man are the headaches real!! I've had 3 awesome training sessions this week and keep reminding myself that change doesn't happen over night! That I need to give myself these 6 weeks to lose fat and show off those muscles. I only took progress photos tonight (but realised one of them is blurry so will have to take them again tomorrow) 😩

But consistency is key 👌🏼
Day 3 of cleaner eating and no processed crap and man oh man are the headaches real!! I've had 3 awesome training sessions this week and keep reminding myself that change doesn't happen over night! That I need to give myself these 6 weeks to lose fat and show off those muscles. I only took progress photos tonight (but realised one of them is blurry so will have to take them again tomorrow) 😩 But consistency is key 👌🏼

Hand down the best trip I’ve had so far. Went to Christchurch for almost a week 🙊 And it was phenomenal. I’m so excited to move next year, I’m so ready 🙋🏼 Spent time with the best people, ate delicious food, went to the gym once in 6 days and it was amazing 🙌🏼💯 It’s all about balance more often than not I’m sipping BCAA’s and eating my greens 🥗, but sometimes you’ve gotta have vodka and burger fuel 🤷🏼‍♀️👌🏼

Today I deadlifted 60kg (more than my body weight) 1x7!!! To come from where I was post partum 5, or even 2 months ago...I am super proud of that!!! TBH I was pretty pissed off with my body after baby because I worked out right up until 36 weeks and did all the things I was supposed to do  to continue to be fit and healthy in pregnancy, only to have a bladder prolapse, an abdominal separation and an umbilical hernia. 😢 As it was my body had completely changed aesthetically but now it was also ‘broken’. I’ve been patient, I have been slow to get back in to exercise, I’ve been safe and I’ve not pushed when I have really wanted to and it’s all paying off. My body is actually amazing and my babies are absolutely worth it! Just keep being dedicated to a healthy life and the rest will follow.
