#tb to yesterday's Day 5 Peak Performance. Taken right after 6:30 for my fastest mile plus a lot of other work we did afterward! I have never ran that in my entire life. I have to say the last .2 mi was not fun. At all. 😜 But I'm so proud to say I did it. It would not have happened had I not seen what my amazing fellow coaches and my OTF members could do to show me that I can beat what I think is possible for me (even us coaches need coaches!) 🙌✨😉I have learned that challenges like these translate into everything else we do: to show us that when we don't give up, give a little extra when we don't feel like it and prove to ourselves we are better than we think, we can do whatever the hell we want. 🔥 I don't say this from a place of naive positivity. My recovery through my past health issues is still the hardest battle I ever fought so through that, I like to share with you what has helped 🔥 As far as age, I am in better shape and feel more vibrant and happier now in my 30's than in my 20's. When you take care of yourself and also allow yourself enjoy life too (hello 🍧🍷🍔...) you can still look and feel pretty damn good!! And I don't have to tell you -> let my 60+ rockstar OTF members mention this to you! Happy Saturday 💪 .

It’s true. At some point you’re going to have to take ownership of your life and decisions. You can’t eat junk food for every meal or you’ll send yourself to an early grave. Slowly does it!! Loved trying on and watching my self slowly fit into the old dress from my university years that I showed on here a few times. So also been working on this bad boy. Had this beauty kindly given to me by a running friend back in January. She lost a ton of weight her self and was looking to ditch her "big" clothes. Now her "big" clothes started at a 14 and went to a 10! And being a size 18 and above at beginning if year they were alwasy going to be a challenge. The dress I'm trying on here is a 12 I believe and when I 1st tried it on back at the beginning of the year it was almost laughable and felt like I'd never fit into it...hence the sulking face as I loved it so much I just wanted it to fit by some sort of fluke! It's still not fitting Correctly....but I'm oh so close!! The difference in the back pics makes me so so happy! Looking through my photos from our trip and realizing that life in Maui seems so much more glam! Today has been a productive Saturday so far though. Upper body session complete, farmers market shop finished, and now I've got some basic meal prep to do. Planning to spend this rainy day watching movies with yumminess in the oven! Serious heavy session, been taking a new mindset into my training.
I want to bring a bigger and fuller look not only to stage but for life.
What is the one thing that all those guys look amazing do? LIFT HEAVY. I'm not saying bad form but I'm saying pushing your limits every session.
Hitting PBS, hitting failure and that's where change is made.
Today's chest session went as followed;
Warm up ex - Pec Dec .
2 warm up
1 heavy to failure
1 max weight to failure (55kg)
1 heavy 15 reps .
2 warm up
1 heavy to failure
1 max weight to failure (160kg)
1 heavy 15 reps .
Incline flies 4 x 10
Machine press 4 x 10
Dips 3 x failure
