Pilates Fix✔️ A friend of mine had pizza at lunch that looked amazing so I made my bbq chicken flatbread pizza with a side salad. This has a tblspn of bbq sauce, shredded chicken, green peppers, red onion, mushrooms and topped with shredded cheese on a flatout flatbread. Delish!!!!

7 year difference, both taken in Cuba. The 2010 photo was after a spring and summer of long beach days in Lebanon when I’d only bring one little snack to eat all day (I was lazy in the kitchen), so i was looking especially thin. What I’ve learned here is that my stomach never changes no matter what i do. i never get to have a six pack.
Last thanksgiving I binge ate the entire week and the rest of the year
I worked out sporadically but I didn’t have control of my nutrition
This year - I’ll celebrate for sure, but all in moderation
I’ll still be working out but I’ll also be watching what I eat and keeping my nutrition at 80/20

Before I say anything I wanna make it clear that both methods work lol before someone has a heart attack 😒😩🤷🏽♂️
First let me list pros and cons of each.
If you’re doing a low volume routine you’ll be spending less time in the gym. You will have to eat less carbs because you won’t be burning through so much glycogen. Your main focus will be on progressive overload to grow. The Chance of injury is higher due to heavier lifting. CNS can get destroyed a lot faster if Routine not structured properly. Overall better for growth if you can sustain for a while WITHOUT getting injured.
If you’re doing a HIGH Volume routine you’ll be in the gym much longer. You can increase your carb intake. Joints and tendons take a bigger hit due to training frequency being high. If diet is not on point to support the amount of training you’re doing you might lose muscle lol. Psychologically harder to get through work outs if you have a busy long day of work or stress outside of gym. Terrible approach for hardgainers. Good approach if all you do is eat sleep and train and can dedicate all your time to gains.
These are just some pros and cons but now for my opinion.
Low to moderate volume 10-12 sets per bodypart every 5-7 days will give you the most gains. If you can train with maximum intensity every workout and hit PR’s in the 6-10 rep range workout after workout you will 100% grow faster than doing a high volume routine. People can debate this all day, but try both approaches yourself for months and keep track; you’ll make way more gains with the lower volume approach guaranteed. But If you’re someone that doesn’t train hard and you just lift to go through the motions and get a pump stick to high volume... training low volume without high intensity is a waste of time.... 😉

weight loss is like driving, if you ever veer off the road, make a u-turn and go back! CONFESSION: I seriously was on the verge of giving up again for the millionth time this year. On Halloween, I ate so much candy that led to more unhealthy eating of pecan pie and anything else in sight. I stayed away from the scale because I didn’t want to know how badly I had messed up my progress. It took me about a week to get it together and get right back on track. Normally it would’ve taken months to get back on the grind because that’s how the year started for me—I would diet and exercise and then stop for months. In June, after my Hawaii trip, I got serious and have made it too far to quit. I was looking forward to Thanksgiving to stuff my face but lately I just don’t feel the urge to. I’m going to use it as a carb re-feed day and just focus on my Mexico trip coming up in 2 weeks. I’m both nervous and excited to put on a bikini again but I really want to see a true 6 month progress photo—all natural—old fashioned hard work with minimal clothes on. The scale hasn’t moved much but I’ve had a ton of non-scale victories. I’ve worked so hard and I’m praying that I build enough confidence to post some bikini pics. Looking back at my old pictures, and looking at the positivity that surrounded me when I was working out on the daily has truly inspired me just now. I remember having goals, tackling them, adding on more goals after that, and felt the rush of mastering something that I myself actually wanted for once. It truly hit home, and I've just been reminded, after the feeling felt lost for years, as to why I started this incredible journey in the first place.
First of all, im not going to lie, I really found myself going through a rough patch for a good while. After so much work being put into something, I could only put my energy into needing to know the answer to the question, "Is this all worth it?" It's almost as if I lost faith that all the hard work was heading towards something, and I truly let doubt get the best of me. I found myself working for a company, and not for myself. I found myself just trying to get by, make money, while not making my dreams, and ambitions a major priority of my life.
It happens... But knowing, and looking back on what was done only makes me begin to believe what's possible. Seeing this genuinely makes me believe that going for something with the utmost blind faith will not only indefinitely lead to the best life, but it's the only path towards this ideal dream,
So why not jump.
I may be sick with the Flu, but the flu's not going to stop me from living my life to the fullest.
I'm back guys,
and much wiser this time.
