Staying in Barrio Gótico, Barcelona is crazy touristic but too pretty to leave. I’ll miss these balcony views, people walking around in their swimming suits singing English drinking songs till dawn and the local grocery stores that charge twice the normal prices.
Such a melting-pot of cultures coming to celebrate all things they love about España on one street!
If we keep going at the rate we're currently going, in 3-5 years there will be no magnificent rhinos left anymore to witness like I did here on a walking rhino safari. They'll all be poached and gone extinct by then, brutally killed for their horn that sells at ridiculous prices for a certain peoples ridiculous belief that it's a form of viagra. If you don't want to see that happen in our lifetime, right in front of our eyes, go to the 'saving the survivors' rhino facebook page, learn more, fundraise, donate, talk about the issue! We humans need to take responsibility for our planet. 🦏 💕
I’m not the biggest James Bond fan, but I loved the film Skyfall. There are two main reasons, really. The first is that a climactic scene in the movie involves a quote from Aldred Lord Tennyson’s Ulysses, my favorite poem (aka one of about three poems I actually know). The second and more important reason is that the film ends with a Home Alone-esque finale scene in the Scottish Highlands.
It turns out, James Bond’s childhood home was an estate called Skyfall in the great glens of the Highlands. And after doing some research, I found that the producers used Glen Etive as a filming location for many of the shots. So I made it a goal to visit during my trip to Scotland.
Am I the only one waiting for autumn here? I mean, I enjoy summer and everything, but when the crazy hot temperatures kick in I just can't 🙈 However, here you go a pretty sunset shot I took in Orvieto time ago ✨
Day 10-11: San Diego
This city is magical! People are all happy, kind and free.
San Diego is a city without important and famous monuments or squares or particular places to visit, but it's a real pleasure to live it. I truly loved this city!
📍: Las Coloradas, Mexico
What makes the lake pink? "The vibrant pink color of these lakes is due to red-colored algae, plankton, and brine shrimp that thrive in the salty environment. As the water evaporates, these organisms become more concentrated, glimmering pink in the bright Mexican sunlight." Would definitely love to visit the pink lakes one day! 😊
Around here we don't look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious...and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. #curiousminds
«Everything you look at can become a fairytale.»
Rothenburg ob der Tauber was a fairytale town to wander. Germany wasn't originally in our road trip plan, but I'm so glad I got to see a part of it ~ especially the beautiful medieval towns like this one. 😍
Yesterday was a fun filled day.
And this was the perfect way to end it.
Thanks to Bob, Kim and the rest of the team at @gorgeperfpdx for having us up. And for all of you who joined us in the water. @nspsurfnsup
