I think I took more pictures of the signs and sign painting in Jamaica than I did at the beach 🤔😊#aboutme
I swear Jamaicans just have a special way with words and the English language in general. Road safety signs have phrases like 'Speed kills: Don't be in a hurry to enter eternity' 🤣😅🙊and boy when they start cussing 😅🤦🏾♀️ #watchout
But honestly; the levels of style, creativity, beauty! and humour that is in this country is just so high you cannot fail to be and leave inspired.
Basically this country has so much more to offer than jerk chicken, beaches and reggae #stereotypes . Although the food does genuinely deserve a whole minute of silence (yes I do that sometimes)
I cannot wait to go back.
This canyon was fun! There were tons of silly little bridges and knee to mid-thigh deep river crossings. Definitely greatful that I had remembered to pack a good pair of sandals for crossing over sharp limestone bits
The Blue Mosque was built with 6 minarets, which at the time was also the same number of the Haram Mosque in Mecca. It caused so much controversy that Sultan Ahmet I had to send his architect to Mecca to add a seventh minaret to the Haram.
Continuing with the theme of forests and trees, giants of the forest, towering above my head as walk through the woods in Northern California last year. The coastal mountain range is extremely beautiful and peaceful and I truly suggest you visit some day. Beginning in BC and continuing down the coastline to around San Fransisco, the Pacific Coast Highway and the 101 run through somr beautiful ranges full of everything from Spruce to Redwoods, to Giant Seqoiua. These were captured during my time there last as Autumn was coming to an end and Winter was beginning to show herself. Enjoying my time in a little cabin the woods with a wood burning stove is my idea of heaven on Earth and one I will be returning too very soon. Be at peace with the world, explore, give back to nature, be true to your nature and find your True North in every path you take.

Guys! I am smitten with acrylic painting! I'll post more about this one later today • • I've been busy behind the scenes with watercolor commissions and so acrylics have become a beautiful outlet for creative exploration. Swipe to see my other studio mate (she's a little less focused on painting and a lot more focused on mischief😆)
Meet Hasan, our Cappadocian tour guide and owner of the Vineyard Cave Hotel. Hasan's wealth of knowledge and experience brought our tour to life. He was brought up in a cave house and enjoyed reminiscing his days as a young schoolboy when he would walk to school for miles in the Cappadocian valleys. When we dropped a piece of camera equipment into the valley, he beat all of us young'uns in retrieving it, climbing up slippery slopes and unstable rocks in his tan leather loafers. Hasan, we salute you!
