Once a year u get the chance to see that ...
"Tribute in Light is a commemorative public art installation first presented six months after 9/11 and then every year thereafter, from dusk to dawn, on the night of September 11. It has become an iconic symbol that both honors those killed and celebrates the unbreakable spirit of New York.
Tribute in Light was conceived by several artists and designers who were then brought together under the auspices of the Municipal Art Society and Creative Time: John Bennett, Gustavo Boneverdi, Richard Nash Gould, Julian LaVerdiere, and Paul Myoda, with lighting consultant Paul Marantz."

Our volunteers found that birds were circling the Tribute in Light beams in too great a number, so we asked our partner National September 11 Memorial & Museum to shut off the lights for a brief period to allow the circling birds to disperse and continue safely on their migration. This video shows the Tribute production team turning off the lights at around 11pm. Thank you for helping the birds! #tributeinlight#birdconservation#birdsafety#911
"The only real way to disarm your enemy is to listen to them. If you hear them out, if you're brave enough to really listen to their story, you can see that more often than not you might've made some of the same choices if you'd lived their life instead of yours."-One of the best quotes I’ve ever stubbled upon by veteran intel ops officer, Amaryllis Fox. #wisdom
I didn't want to over saturate Instagram on 9/11. Here is my Tribute in Lights as seen from Brooklyn.
